My favorite part? Probably the freedom, I guess. Sounds strange right now sure, but I mean thinking about how things were before someone decided to come after us.  didn’t get a whole lot of that at home.

Presley had been through a lot of exams in his seven years at Brightwood and every year he did well, but walked away feeling let down. Sometimes he wished he would just find his bond, even if it was unexpected or random, at least he would have found it. This year was a little different than most, this year he found himself nervous and nearly dreading exams. He was paired with Madison which he was grateful for, and that was a funny statement in itself some people would have considered. But he communicated well with her and they spent a lot of time together. But, Presley knew what it would mean if he didn’t make a bond with Madison during exams. It would mean he had feelings for someone he wasn’t meant to be with, and it would mean another year and another round of exams unbonded. He tried to focus while he went through his clues and tracked Madison across campus, and when he finally reached his destination he burst through the door, moving towards her immediately. He saw the staff member emerge from the shadows and move towards her, and Presley immediately began to fight. As soon as he did, he felt his body heat up. His head turned, and his eyes fell to the only person in the world who mattered- Madison. His brain was flooded with thoughts of only her, of only protecting her, of saving her. He could think of nothing else but how much he loved Madison Montgomery. I found it, he thought. We found it.
