     ✘——-     "I actually am nothing but surprised. You get that reaction here often. This is Eorzea, where people try to thrive without getting murdered for something good they have. No one is safe on these troubled times. We mostly have given up hope by now." Brii simply stated --- such was the world she was living in. After the calamity everything was ruined, the people were ragged, tirelessly trying to rebuild the realm they once had, letting the greed, hate and jealousy consume them in the thirst of success.

     "However... Absolutely can I agree with your latest statement. That does sound like  o n e  I know..." She hummed, tilting her head to the side, lips slightly pouting as she drifted to her thoughts.

Draykan shrugged, as if people complaining about what he’d said he’s seen was common. “You’d be surprised at the amount of people who find it hard to believe a simple fact. They often times deny it and get violent because it would mess with what they believe, and they hate to change their views.”

The man was a little surprised to see how shocked she appeared by the question, but gave his own mental shrug. Probably very little to nobody inquired about dragons, and almost certainly never just out of the blue. But shocked could be good, she may give away a hint so that it wouldn’t seem like he was guessing she’d been a dragon from absolutely nothing.

"Aye, that sounds like most dragons. Some though have a conscious, and thus their beauty isn’t deceptive. And not all of them are born with a nature to cause harm, some of them are good. And that inherent goodness means that they have to hide who they truly are, lest they get mistaken for their truly evil kin."

     ✘——-     "Certainly perplexing..." She muttered --- though she could've sworn Draykan heard it nevertheless ---, slender digits reaching out of her smooth chin, rubbing it softly. "But --- who am I to complain against something you have seen with your own eyes." She gave a soft nod, complimenting yet subtle smile rising on her lips.

     Brii could see Draykan examining her too from the body language to the slightest movements of her eyes. Though, the question she was about to hear was nothing but she would've expected the male to inquire about. Eyes widened in utter shock, yet she somehow managed to answer the question with unshaken voice.

     "Fascinating creatures, they are. Some misunderstood --- most not. From their maleficence comes the danger, deceivingly beautiful creatures with beastly heart and foul in-born nature."

"It is something I have really seen, yes. I know it sounds like a fairy tale, my life feels like a fairy tale at times, but the words I speak are the truth. I suspect my words won’t convince you however, so you may believe what you wish."

The aura he sensed in her was interesting, a merging of two different souls almost. Sort of like him… The thought did startle him, although he didn’t show it. Dray had gotten so used to his aura that he never thought what it might look like on others, but hers was quite similar. A dragon’s soul in another’s body…

"This may be a sudden question miss, but what are your thoughts on dragons?"

     ✘——-     Slightly and as unnoticeable did she swallow the bitter, metallic taste of growing anxiety down her throat. "Actually..." She carefully considered her words around the stranger as the clean, light and white arch of teeth sank to her lower lip discretely, nibbling the inside of her mouth.

     Another awkwardly silent five seconds passed as she finally decided to utter out a sentence that in the end was going to confuse the fellow Miqo'te even more.

     "I--- Do not actually know."

       Although the helm covered most of her face, her lips were showed and they curved into a smile as the other accepted her company. Again, she did not know why she felt so faithful with the other and the fact she was another Dragoon meant nothing, in her opinion. Perhaps she was finding her partner in other people. In other Dragoons.

Silently she walked alongside the other Miqo’te. Only the wind could be heard blowing among the branches of the trees; as for their words, her mouths were shut.  But Mai didn’t join her to find peace, but to actually get out of quietude. "Are you heading to the Observatorium?"

[ Oh my gosh, sorry guys for the inactivity uwu I've been busy raiding with my FC and with other in-game duties, I shall give you couple of replies right now. ]
