Local lyric comic artist makes another lyric comic after years of silence.

Honestly, I don't know how to talk about this comic. I drafted it in 2020 when I still enjoyed Radiohead and was in the throes of my Danganronpa obsession. I picked up working on it again in October last year and have been chipping away at it ever since, just finishing it this past weekend.

It's surreal to see this finished, and I'm really proud of it. This song felt very fitting lyrically, and I had a lot of fun depicting ch 5.

Anyways back to the pit with me 💙

ill always find it amusing when american fiction wants to be moralistic about not killing the bad guy but the author doesnt actually have a more humane way of resolving the conflict so they instead take the infinitely more progressive solution of "indefinite imprisonment"

Gortash is legit the funniest concept for a villain I've ever witnessed. You march with your heroic war band to confront the evil tyrant, fully ready to lay out his manipulations in the throne room in front of the city's government. You know, standard fantasy hero stuff. But then the evil villain goes "Best friend!!!! I'm so glad you could make it 🥰🤗 I missed you so much 🥺"

Honestly, what a power move. It doesn't even matter if he was exaggerating or outright lying. The man saw a threat coming and deployed a tactical disarming strike via the all-too universal feeling of remembering an embarassing thing you did in the past (him, probably) and forcing you to cringe into stunned submission.

I don't think Gortash would be happy if he learnt about Raphael's death.

I've seen quite a lots of discussions about how Durge/Tav should be able to tell Gortash they killed Raphael (which I agree with) and I've also seen fics dealing with this topic. But either way I don't think Gortash would be thrilled about this news, on the contrary, he would be pissed.

Considering the treatment of his parents I don't think Gortash would simply be happy enough to learn about Raphael's demise, I don't think he simply wishes for his death. He wants a revenge and death is not good enough. He wants him to see what all a mere mortal like Gortash can achieve, he wants to rub his own success in his face and he wants that cambion to suffer before he will end his life. Just simply killing him would not be good enough for Gortash.
