Oh boy.. This project was. An experience.
Truthfully, I underestimated how much time it would take, how unphysical my ideas are, and how big of a person I am. Which is why it's really small.. A bit uncomfortable to sit in, but it does the job.
Originally, I wanted to resemble the inside of a fruit, a bit of yonic imagery, perfect for a chair-like structure.
Then, it started to look like a spine. THEN, I needed a piece to hold my cardboard together in the meantime, so i just put a piece of scrap in it. That's when i stood back and saw that it kind of looked like the tail of a whale. And I thought, *Huh.. Bone structure is a natural structure, and it’d be cool to do one that’s not on land." And so l did!
This project was a really good learning experience.. I really like how different my end product is from my original thought, how happenstance allowed me to think outside the box. My mistakes only greater prepare me for the next project, where i'll do something bigger, better, and i'll be more prepared!
Although this project was not a total success, and I would love to redo it if i could, I still enjoyed the grueling process of creation.

the smaller structures that make up the bigger structures!
realizing that every structure is made up of more structures, suddenly the world feels much bigger. When understanding these layers of life applied to humanity, it can be the epitome of understanding one another, a process of vulnerability and intimacy.
