The Climate Fixers
I think the author ends the essay this way to leave an impact and leave the reader questioning this topic. I think he also does this because he wants us to know that the climate issue we have is a very big, complicated problem that doesn’t have one big fix all solution. By doing so, it made me feel as though he questioned himself and his entire essay.

One Stupid Tweet
I believe participating in debates and involving politics in social media can be beneficial to a certain point. Social media platforms such as twitter are used not only as a social media site, but a news source as well. Social media can be used to relay information and share opinions on certain topics. When you have a bunch of different people from different viewpoints and walks of life, you get clashing opinions which can create fights which is where it becomes a problem.
With the increase use in social media usage, we see an increase in the amount of fights and bashing on these websites because people are rude and unwilling to look at the topic from someone else’s point of view. Our problem isn’t twitter and social media, it’s ourselves. We as a whole are close minded and aren’t used to taking a step back and really analyzing something from another viewpoint.

Panache Celebrity
A celebrity that comes to mind when I hear the word panache is Lizzo. She is such a confident woman. She is mostly known for her body positivity and how confident she is with her image. She expresses this confidence mostly with her music  but also in the outfits she wears.
She is actively trying to change the way our society views plus size people, in particular, plus size women. In the past year, Lizzo has gained a lot of popularity on social media and has inspired many  plus size women to embrace and love the way they look.

Essay 3 possible source 2
This article takes a look at the concept of micro dosing psychedelics and  assesses a study that was conducted of people who micro dosed psychedelics. It looks at some of the benefits and drawbacks of this  process that were reported by the subjects of the study.
This source will be useful to me because it looks at some of the adverse effects of micro dosing and I believe it is always important to be aware of possible complications during a process that is so new to society.

Essay 3 possible source
This article looks at the effects of micro dosing psychedelics. The study was conducted on individuals who took one tenth of a usual recreational dose. The individuals reported mostly positive effects from micro dosing including improved mood, cognition, and creativity, as well as counteracting symptoms from depression and anxiety. Some participants reported experiencing challenges with psychedelic micro dosing.
This is a possible source for my paper because I am interested in looking at the benefits of micro dosing psychedelics. Overall this article has a lot of useful background information on micro dosing. Unfortunately, this study doesn’t seem to be the best one to use because it only looked at a small amount of individuals and in my opinion, was not conducted very well.

The Cult of Overwork Summary
In this article, James Suroweicki states that companies should not overwork their employees because in the end it decreases productivity. He starts off by mentioning certain companies on Wall Street that have recently started decreasing the amount of hours their employees are working. He mentions how before cell phones, it was easier to unplug from work when American’s went home at the end of the day but now that we are surrounded by technology, people are available all the time which means no breaks from work. In a 2008 survey it was concluded that 94% of the 1000 professionals surveyed work 50+ hours a week. Working overtime leads to mistakes and safety issues and for some it leads to exhaustion from not getting enough sleep. For companies, it is cheaper for them to continue overworking their employees rather than hire more workers. In order to lessen the amount of overtime hours worked, as a society we have to change the expectations of businesses and their workers in order to lessen overtime hours.

Autobiography
My name is Brianna Perry, I’m a Junior at UWRF and I’m majoring in Animal Science with an emphasis in Companion animals. I am originally from Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
Back home I have 2 brothers, and one sister as well as 4 nephews. I also have a dog and 2 cats that live at my parents house and I have 2 border collies that live at my boyfriend’s house. I currently live in River Falls with two roommates. Together in our apartment we have 2 dogs, a cat, and two guinea pigs. Animals are a huge part of my life and they are my passion. I started out volunteering at a Human Society when I was twelve and two years later was hired as an employee there. My senior year of high school I got a second job as a vet assistant. I  continued to work both jobs until I started my sophomore year of college because I was permanently moving away from my hometown and had to find something closer to me. Halfway through my sophomore year of college, I got a job at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. Since I started working there, I’ve really developed a great interest in dog behavior and dog training and I am currently exploring that field to see if it is something I want to do in the future after college.
