Man, the FNaF hatebase is just disappointing now. Nowhere near as funny as it used to be. Now all they do is cry ‘cancer’ and 'autism’, and accuse Scott of milking the franchise when he’s made his passion for the series evident. Oh, well. Gotta hop on the bandwagon to be one of the cool kids, right? Tbh, it’s amazing how desperate some people are in preventing others from enjoying things. Recently there was an attack on the FNaF subreddit by a couple of “”'hackers’“”, who hijacked accounts by using a website that displayed leaked personal details (Because they were brainless fucking script-kiddies) PURELY because the people there liked FNaF. Honestly, it’s pathetic. The circlejerk is just too much. FNaF having 5 games? Oh no, that’s a horrid crime. Scott Cawthon should drink Clorox. Boy, I can’t wait for LeafyIsHere’s next personal attack video. But…what’s this? 'Pokémon Sun and Moon’? WHEW, SIGN ME THE FUCK UP!
My point is, a man who has created five games in two years as a result of him being an incredibly hard worker is considered milking, whilst a game that relies on using the exact - and I mean EXACT - same mechanics over and over again with a slightly modified story mode is not. The only real change that has come out of Pokémon in the last ten years has been Mega Evolution, and even then that doesn’t change those core mechanics at all. Even with a Mega, the game is exactly the same. Your Pokémon is just mildly stronger, and may have a new ability. Why does Pokémon get a free pass? I’d genuinely like to know. Along that same vein, why do Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, FIFA, etc., get 'get out of jail free’ cards? Because they’re made by multi-million dollar corporations? I don’t get it. The FNaF games are short games. Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty in particular? Not so much. Yet they still get released almost annually every year. Feel free to argue this, by the way. Everybody’s entitled to provide their own two-cents. At the end of the day, I’m just an angry ranting English bloke. If you think a game’s fanbase is bad, its hatebase will almost always be twelve times worse.

After seeing several vaguely threatening signs in #Toronto I’m convinced it is secretly #NightVale
“Welcome to Tornoto. We’ve been expecting you. Now please enter the bloodstone circle.”
“Pedestrians obey your signals! Walk. Don’t walk. Ritual sacrifice.”
“No standing at other times. Only in this moment is standing acceptable. Time travel is prohibited.”

re: people being sad about FNaF’s fandom quieting down
It’s easy to feel sad when a fandom dies.
It’s easy to miss the hysteria and the frenetic joy of each new bit of content released. It’s easy to miss the excited all-caps posts, the headcanoning, everything from the most plausible speculation (”Is Mike the Purple Man?”) to the wildest, most out-there guesses (”waT IF FEXY not BITE, but VICTIM?? HM??”). It’s easy to miss the unspoken companionship that you have with everyone else in the fandom–it’s not just you, a singular entity, enjoying this stuff and waiting for new content… it’s an entire we, a whole world of people who share the same love and joy as you.
It’s easy to miss that. It’s easy to fall into a state of mourning.
The important thing is to remember that a fandom never really dies. It kind of goes dormant, but it stays. The friendships you made, the art you created, the things you wrote, the characters you love–it all lives on. I don’t mean just in your heart or in your memory or any sappy shit like that, but it quite literally lives on in the eternal morass that is the Internet, available for newcomers to find and discover and revel in for years to come.
So instead of being sad, be proud. Be proud of the content creators. Be proud of your fellow fans. Be proud of yourself. You helped make this fandom what it is. You fostered a community, forged human connections, became part of something a little bigger. You made this fandom worth something.
When it’s time to move on, it’s time to move on. No sense in feeling guilty or sad about it.
The good news is that your heart? It’s infinite. There’s a depth to it that not even you know, and even if this fandom isn’t at the forefront of your thoughts any longer? It’s still there with you.
The ‘bots are always gonna be there for you when you need them.
God knows you’ve been there for them.
