Barbara’s Boutique offers you ways to take a load off your feet. I need to remember and take advantage of my suggestions while wallowing in the spa products my Avon business offers.
Today I spent working, watching my granddaughter, then watching two grandchildren after their school day ended. I then ran errands, worked on my AVON business, and more. I did sit with friends at 7pm and then cleaned up. On my way to bed, I realized I did not submit a form to my coach. I completed this form, emailed it, then fell into bed, fully clothed without taking time to wash my face or brush my teeth, around midnight.
What the heck!
I must continue to work on my schedule to plan, set goals, manage my time for 2 weeks worth of activities to get to my goals. My 2 weeks may be different than your time line. You may have to plan each day or each week. I often times do not remember to schedule in some relaxation and rejuvination time for me. 🌹😍 This is one of the disadvantages of being a business owner. We tend to work constantly instead of working SMART.
SMART
SPECIFIC – I must be specific with what I want to achieve. Write it down and answer goal specific questions.
MEASURABLE – What will you have so you may recognized that you have achieved your goal? How will you feel? Track your goals. i.e. “I will lose 50 pounds in 12 months: 4.17pounds per month, 1.04pounds per week.”
ATTAINABLE ~ Setting impossible or far reaching goals will only frustrate you. Baby steps may help. Each week you can push your goals a little or a lot further. Being specific lets you know if you are in control of what you can do to achieve these goals. Understand what you have to do first, second, etc. i.e. “I will go from Gold Ambassador to Bronze Leader, which is the next title of leadership.” Then plan on achieving the next title then the next and so on. Knowing all the while that anything is possible but rewarding yourself along the way. Remember to reward yourself!
RELEVANT/REALISTIC ~ Stretch yourself each week but don’t over stretch yourself! You want to stay in the game. This motivates yourself to do your best if you set realistic goals.
TIME-BOUND ~ Definitely have a deadline to complete your task or achieve your goal. Incorporate this date into your goal. Work the above S M A R and you will achieve your T~Time bound goal.
In the words of my favorite Platinum Leader when asked, “what do you do if you don’t achieve your goal by the due date?.” “Make another date.” You’ll get there. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Nothing is written in stone. You can change your date and your plan but you must first define them.
When I am SMART, I will then have time for….
