Honestly, I usually am not a fan of ships where the characters have never interacted before in canon but there's been a lot of fanworks for burningcacao that I've really liked! Just conceptually, a being of ultimate destruction and a being with the ultimate resolution to handle him is pretty good. I think if they ever do interact in canon (which is doubtful imo) I could maybe fw it

How do you make your animatics? :0

Like, are there any techniques you use to make your animatics and storyboards so expressive and fun? The way they move reminds me of Shandzii in a way :]

I'm not sure how helpful this is, but I think a big portion of my creative process in terms of movement and expression comes from daydreaming! In my head, I'm not held back by my own skill level or motivation, so it can look exactly as extravagant and expressive as I want.

I usually spend upwards of a week just relistening to the song/dialogue I'm interested in using and watching it in my head, sort of "directing" the composition and character movement in my mind until it looks good and I have a specific vision for everything. I build it all out in my head first, so there's zero limits, before I ever pick up a pen and start drawing

If I don't marry myself to the perfect daydream version of an animatic in my head, then I'll subconsciously end up making a simpler, easier to draw version, and it'll overall end up looking a lot flatter and more boring

How did you come up with your username?

A bit disappointing, but there's no fun story 😭 I've been making and panic purging my art accounts online in cycles for years, and I've always liked usernames that have no numbers or underscores and are 2 unrelated words, idk why

By the time I was making briskchips, I was running out of any real ideas that followed that pattern and it was completely a "first thought best thought" kinda thing. No memory of what inspired it. Maybe I was drinkin a lemonade and havin a snack

Not personally! I can see burning spice having an interest in golden cheese in the same way all the beasts obsess over their respective ancients, but I just cannot ever see GC returning those feelings whatsoever. She has zero respect for him in my mind

So I guess if you count one-sided then yeah, but I don't even really see it as pining tbh. He just wants her to kick his ass

Never an annoyance, no need to apologize!

I don't know of too many free programs, but honestly? I've been playing around with magma a bit more and I think it could function pretty well as a standalone art program! It's usually meant to be used as a shared canvas

Free animation programs I have no idea, I'm sorry 😭 Can always draw your panels individually in an art program and edit them together in something like capcut though!

And I've never tried krita!

can you explain more about requited pining for purecacao? does pv like sm and dc is left out?

Sort of! I like unrequited pining purecacao regardless of shadow milk's involvement, he can be completely out of the picture

My fave interpretation of their relationship is DC being deeply in love with PV, but being way too uncomfortable with vulnerability of any kind to EVER make that be known (maybe with some added "he's too good for someone as cold and cruel as I, he could never love me back"). And with his standoffish demeanour, PV never notices. Perhaps if PV was given the chance to get to know him better in a romantic setting he'd return his feelings, but DC is too distant to get to that point.

So they're just in this forever standstill of PV blissfully unaware of DC's love, dating other people, and DC trapped in a hole of his own discomfort and desperate yearning

I don't really have any thoughts of substance honestly. I do really like them though! I think their story is so interesting, and I'd be really curious to see what happens with Pavlova now that he's been freed from his baby curse, and to hear from Sugarfly again in the future after she's been in the faerie kingdom for a while

I wonder how she feels about elder faerie having died in her absence...
