Loki

Personality Type: INFJ

Dominate Function: Introverted Intuition

Loki is introverted to begin with, preferring to have time to himself to recharge, and mull things over.  This function is where Loki’s trickster side comes out.  He is very tuned into how things are going to play out, what kinds of reactions to expect from people, and seeing multiple possibilities.  Using insight and experience, Loki can manipulate other’s behavior to suit his own ends.  He quietly pieces things together, and uses this insight to pull on the right strings at the right time.

Auxiliary Function: Extroverted Feeling

Loki constantly reiterates about how he feels about certain events, people, and situations.  There is never a question if he is upset or gleeful (unless he is intentionally tricking someone).  He reasons with his emotions, weighing options based on intangible ideals and feelings.  Logically, Thor is a fine ruler, but Loki judges on emotions, and he feels slighted.  Additionally, Loki is a great reader of emotions, and can use that to manipulate people.  He is tuned to what others think of him, and honestly wants respect and adoration- particularly from his father.  Loki tends to delegate things like the construction of the tesseract, and even looks to Hawkeye for plans.  He is more adept at flattery, manipulation, and charm, then highly logical problem solving.

Tertiary Function: Introverted Thinking

Loki has the motive and the ability to create complex plans of manipulation, but it is his introverted thinking that gives him the ability to organize and execute his plans.  He keeps his strategies to himself, making him a dangerous enemy.  He speaks precisely, finding the perfect and eloquent way to say what he means.  He is witty, but in a thoughtful way, and rarely says something that he regrets.

Inferior Function: Extroverted Sensing

This is Loki’s least developed function.  He cares about appearances, and is reasonably resourceful.  You can see that skill in his battle with frost giants - he used resourcefulness on the spot instead of long-term training.  However, Loki often puts aside the concerns for physicality in pursuit of his ambitions.

Hogwarts House: Slytherin

Slytherins are ambitious and crafty, two words that indisputably describe Loki.  Loki feels like he deserves to rule Asgard, and Earth, and he makes strategic alliances to get there.  He is out for personal power, at the expense of his duty as Odin’s son.

Tony Stark

Personality Type: ENTJ

Dominate Function: Extroverted Thinking

Extroverted thinking is usually displayed by the need to talk things though out loud in order to organize rational thought.  Tony is an engineer, so logical problems are his forte.  Although he often works alone, he invented Jarvis to bounce ideas off of and talk to while he works.  He is quick-witted, being about think and talk at the same time, which leads to his off-the-cuff remarks.  This is certainly his dominate function, since he is most comfortable problem-solving and socializing.

Auxiliary Function: Introverted Intuition

Tony handles big picture ideas very well, which is how he managed to grow a large company, and then pivot a large company after he returned to the US.  He rarely outwardly discusses his big ideas, instead springing them on people after he has already acted on them.  His gut feelings led him to appoint Pepper as CEO, to know that something fishy was up with the Avengers, and to reveal that he was Iron Man.  Each time, he makes these gut-based decisions with little warning, which gives him the impression of being unpredictable.

It is no secret that Tony Stark is a thrill seeker and someone with a sense of style.  He is very outward in his physical experiences.  He insists on “really needing a cheeseburger”, and blaring music for everyone to hear.  Additionally, he displays outward style for attention and self-expression.  Experiential living certainly isn’t his most practiced or comfortable functions (using it mostly to put on a big mask for a crowd or make an impression), but there is no way that Tony Stark can sit quietly and appreciate AC/DC through his headphones.

Suffice to say, Tony Stark has a hard time verbalizing his emotions.  When he doesn’t try to brush something off as a joke, he attempts to diffuse the depth he feels something at.  He is unable to talk about his fear that he is dying from the Palatium to anyone, until the danger passes.  After Coulson dies, he pretends to only know of ‘the cellist’ vaguely, despite the fact he offered to fly Coulson up to see her.  Tony is poorly practiced in making his feelings known, or even really how to handle strong emotions.  Queue drinking.

Hogwarts House: Slytherin

Slytherins are focused on achievement, ambition, and legacy.  Tony has the legacy of his father to live up to, so is constantly trying to stretch his goals further and further.  After making a fortune selling weapons, and realizing his beloved legacy was “merchant of death”, he shifted his focus to something leaving a positive mark on the world.  He wants everyone to know his name - going so far as to write it on a skyscraper.  Much of his work and effort is put into how he can be bigger, louder, and better than everybody else.

ENFJ- Hugs are what keep us alive as a species. The act of embracing another is a sense of comfort, relief, and protection. Value it.

INFJ- I will only hug you if we are close (which is rare), but I will let you hug me if you have to. ISFJ- I prefer not to have my person space invaded, but I will let you hug me if it makes you feel good.

Never tell an xNFP that they’re wrong. They take this personally and will feel as if you’re challenging their beliefs, and not being one to enjoy conflict, will generally bottle up this frustration instead of deal with it. Don’t get me wrong, they love expanding on their knowledge and if you have the facts, they’d love to see them, but without proof the only thing you’re truly putting into question is their intuition.
