I don’t do these kind of shoots too often, but when your friend and amazing hairdresser of the past 12 years asks you to shoot her maternity photos YOU SAY YES. Lauren and I were chasing and climbing after the sun all night a few weeks ago at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI. She was so easy going and excited which made my job super easy...not to mention that she picked out the perffffect dress for our wind blown sunny night.

Thanks Lau for being a good sport (dealing with the wind, climbing on rock walls, changing outfits in your car, walking down a sandy tunnel to the beach!) and an awesome model! Can’t wait to meet your little one soon!

Also...finally made a video of the SUPER long handmade accordion book I made for my series From the Inside Looking Out 

This book was part of a large installation room I created for my MFA thesis work at MassArt. I made three copies...printed, scored, folded, embroidered, clothed and held together with a velvet pink scrunchie.

Follow my other account @theshoreproject as my husband and I travel through Canada for the next 3-weeks. So far we are off to a rocky start but it will not stop us. I have a new blog dedicated to THE SHORE PROJECT - the rephotographing of Stephen Shore’s Uncommon Places - which I have been working on since 2010. With over 25 locations already found and a recent hiatus to complete graduate school, we are back at it in full force!

My husband and I will be leaving soon for a 3-week road trip across Canada - follow us along as we move across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario!
