It had been one of the rougher days today at the hospital, but thankfully nothing her patients wouldn't overcome, but overall, she was simply tired. Usually, she'd spend her evenings late at the hospital, tending to patients, or go home and withdraw from society. After she had given medicine to her last patient for her shift, Isabella decided to spend a night walking around the town square instead. The only reason she did head home was to change into a more comfortable and bit warmer outfit; wearing a light sweater shirt and her favorite pair of jeans (not that she had many to choose from).

Stepping into the town square instantly made her feel like she had made the right choice tonight, it was buzzing with life and warmth from the townsfolk. Every so often she would give a polite nod to someone she'd recognized, softly smiling at some of the shocked faces that looked at her when she passed by. In fairness, Isabella understood most of these people she has stitched up a good couple of times, cared for, and they weren't used to seeing her outside of that setting. Except for the person she came across next and seeing him almost did make her wish she'd stayed home.

"Hello, Josh," she warmly greets, offering him a small smile, closing the small distance between them. It felt so odd to know that at one point she had been very close with the guy, but now the two were practically strangers, and she blamed herself for having lost that connection. Then again, she blamed herself for a lot that happened with the Morgan family back when she was part of it. " It's been some time, hasn't it? How's everything?"

BACKGROUND:

Isabella Jimenez was born on a quiet spring day in April of 1989. She was born to a family who already had one too many mouths to feed, and two parents who hardly paid attention to their children (unless you were the two younger ones).

She learned how to fend for herself at a very young age, which definitely came in handy when the outbreak took place. She was separated from her family, but luckily the one who ended up taking her in were good people. The older she got the more she pushed herself to learn new things to survive in this new world, and her old life began to become hazier with every passing day. But she never forgot her siblings.

After a raider attack resulted in the death of her newly found family she was once more on her own. She goes on to live on the road for a couple of years before being recruited in a QZ in Dallas, thanks to a doctor she stumbled upon from there. Even though she had met some pretty horrible people, while also some pretty amazing ones, the people she came across in the QZ were like her little family again.

In her second year of living in the QZ she met the person who would change her life forever, and his name is Reed Morgan. It felt like an instant connection when they began to talk, and she fell hard. When they began to date it felt like she had stepped into a fairytale, despite the world around them. When she came to be pregnant it was both the scariest news she had ever heard, but also the amazing news all at the same time. All she could envision was the future all three of them could have and not a single part of it was gray for her. But it would appear life had other plans for them, and her world shattered the day their little girl passed away.

After that, Isabella has never quite been the same. Her once bright smile didn't shine anymore, her eyes did not hold the twinkle they once did, and she became reserved. She let herself become disconnected with not only herself, but with those around her as well. Losing Reed only made her disconnect even more.

She began to dive into work more; finding comforting in being able to help those around her. She still has a heart of gold though, despite what the world has offered her, and she tries her hardest to keep a warm demeanor about her. Her patients are her world. Even though she is still hollow on the inside from the passing of her baby girl, Isabella doesn't let it show while on duty. She's determined to be the light in the life of those that need her the most.
