"Cracks in the concrete, mirror the breaking of skin. The brittleness of bone, the coldness within. Whistling winds to drown out the cries, never bat an eyelid when another one dies. Long since forgotten, their bloodied feet roam. Safety in numbers, in each other they’ve found a home. Shattered glass dreams, orphaned are they all. But nothing for them is permanent, and together they shall fall. White powdered illusions, acrid taste left upon their tongues. Lost in the confines of sanity, no one left to hear their songs. They sang of fairytales, places where dreams began. A wonderland, an other land. But the rain came down, the streets ran red. Under the rule of a cruel man, they were left with a broken land, and everyone was dead."

Mission 002.
kissmekatharina -- Complete.
"My dear Katharina, why don’t you come in? It looks awfully cold where you’re standing, and I’d hate to see that arctic wind get to you... Anyway, I do have a ‘favor’ to ask of you. Now, we both know about your fling with Scooter, no use in denying that... but is there any use in denying [BLANKED OUT SECRET]? I’d certainly hate for any news of that to be heard of, but it wouldn’t kill me, that’s for sure. Would it you? To keep [BLANKED OUT SECRET], to keep your secret safe, I need something from you. Your tie with Scooter is, perhaps, my most useful asset, and I’ve yet to put it into play! Katharina, I know your appeal, and I know it wouldn’t take you but two seconds to get back on Scooter’s fuck list... so do it, but do it to my benefit. I need you to work your way around Scooter, get him to tell you something of importance to me – or, at least, find out something of importance to me through your time with him. Don’t fuck this up, dear. I’m counting on you.”

Mission 002.
robyn-leonard -- Complete.
"Ah, there you are! Robyn, correct? Please, do come in and take a seat won’t you? Now, I’m sure you’ve heard about the recent inconvenience, what with that addicts death. He’s certainly caused quite a stir, hasn’t he? Well, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out it was one of our lot who sold him the drugs, does it? Maybe it was even you, who knows? The point is, we can’t have dear old Bouncer and Jonesy figuring it out, can we? We need to stay on the top of our game. So, I have a little mission for you. I want you to approach each Baron in turn and whisper in their ear as such that you’ve heard rumours of it being the other Baron who sold the bad MDMA. What I’m asking is for you to be the middle man in initiating a fight between Jones and Bouncer, see? Convince Jones that Bouncer is the reason we’re all out of work for the week and vice versa. Let’s hope you’re a good actress, because I’d hate for things to get ugly between us, wouldn’t you?”

Mission 002.
nsfwalice -- Complete.
“Ah, Alice. How wonderful to see you! Do come in, I feel it’s been far too long since we last caught up. How are you, child? I need a little favor from you, my dear -- think you can do that for me? A small little token of your appreciation in repayment for all I’ve done for you? Good, I thought you’d say that. I’ve heard through the grapevine that you and one of Scooter’s dealers -- Lilith, is it? Yes, Lilith. I’ve heard the two of you have history? I feel that would be the perfect in for this little mission that I have in mind. It’s common knowledge that I managed to escape Bouncer’s clutches, not that anyone but myself and he know how. I want you to offer Lilith the chance of escape from Scooter -- tell her that I will find a way to get her free, if she agrees to come and have a little ‘talk’ with me. Of course, I won’t really be helping her, but she doesn’t need to know that until after I’ve extracted all the information I need from her. I’m sure you wouldn’t want [BLANKED OUT SECRET] to get out any time soon, would you? Wouldn’t want your brother hearing of such things, I presume? If you complete this task then your secret will remain safe with me. Good luck, dear.”

“Know people who know things-- really dear you don’t seem the type to know anybody of importance.” His lips pressed together and he arched his brow. “What do you want for this information anyway? Or are you just telling me out of the goodness of your wholesome heart?”

“I… know people who know things. He knew he had a bad batch, but he made his dealers sell it anyway. I guess he really needed the money?” Robyn shrugged and let out a sigh, watching for Bouncer’s reaction. She just hoped she was able to convince him that Jones was at fault, and then get out of there as soon as possible. She never liked being around any of the barons for longer than a few minutes, at most.

robyn-leonard:
“It was Jones. _Well, _not Jones exactly, but one of his dealers in the end, I guess… The point is, Jones was selling bad drugs, and he _knew _they were bad, but he didn’t care. And now we’re all out of business.” She rubbed the arms of her chair and looked Bouncer right in the eye, “I don’t even think Scooter knows yet. I was going to tell him next, but I figured you would be better at, uh, dealing with Jones than he would. He’d probably just try to kill him for ruining business, honestly, but you’d try to talk to him about it rather than get violent. …Right?”

“Jones...” Bouncer repeated with furrowed brows as he thought. He’d expected Scooter to be the cause, but if he were why would Robyn be here to rat him out. “How do you know it was Jones?” he asked with a stoic expression. He was seeing red... The eccentric underdog and former employee had to be a true imbecile to think that Bouncer would allow him to damage business. He needed to get to the bottom of this... in his current and stressed state-- Bouncer was failing to see the bigger picture, which wasn’t a common occurrence for him.

“Oh you can’t... Well in that case, let’s just forget about it.” Bouncer shook his head with disbelief and annoyance. “I gave you an order my dear and I expect you to follow it through. You don’t have a choice.” He looked up at her and smiled charmingly with almost empathetic eyes. “If you don’t fuck this up, you won’t get killed... You know how to get into his head and that is exactly what I expect of you. So keep your mouth shut and do as you’re told.”

“I can’t do this Bouncer. Like yeah you know my secret, blah blah fucking blah, I’ve heard it all before, but if he finds out what I’m doing then I could be killed okay.” Kat wasn’t one to admit it point blank, but she was scared. It was a lose-lose situation for her and Bouncer probably knew it.

“Get to the point girl.” Bouncer said with a firm bite of authority ringing in his tone. His grip tightened on his mug as he watched her expression. Did Scooter know who got John Doe killed? It would be a way to kill buisness... Then he could pass his sub-par street crap to desperate buyers behind the scenes. It would make sense that he would hide it... If this was a confession he needed to hear it. “I won’t tell Scooter who told me what-- but you’d better start talking now.”

“I- Okay.” She sat back down and let out a sigh, “Just, can I ask you that you don’t tell anyone I told you this? I don’t want to get into trouble with my boss. It’s, um, I’ve heard things. People talking. About what’s been going on. About why we’re all out of business, and losing money, and why everything is so sucky- Sorry. Getting to the point. I, uh, know whose fault this is.” She sucked in a large breath of air and waited for Bouncer’s response.

Bouncer’s expression was either bored or stoic. He didn’t have the patience for this and the look on his face made that fact as clear as day. “I do not appreciate my time being wasted. Do you think I have time for your jokes and chit chat?”

“Actually—” Alice practically squeaked, the usual confidence they carried with them gone with a quiet huff of air. Back straightening out in an overly habitual way, they cleared their throat as they turned to push the door shut with a quiet click. “Actually, I was wondering if I could ask you a personal question.” The blonde took another deep breath before turning around again, taking a careful step closer as they tilted their head. “I was just wondering, sir, if there’s — any particular color you might favor over.. all the other colors?”

“Well considering I wasn’t even there I think I would at least be in the good graces of our majesty.” She rolled her eyes before placing a wad of cash on the desk. “But there’s the money from this week’s sale.”

“...This week’s sale? You sold when I specifically told you all to stop?!” Scooter yelled, rage bubbling beneath the surface. “You decided to disobey and risk us all? You foolish girl!”

lilith-says-stfu:
“Don’t be so dramatic Scooter,” Lilith muttered with annoyance. “When are we going to be back on the street? We’re fucking struggling here. How the hell are we supposed to be able to sell after people stop caring about this old bastard if we can’t take care of ourselves now?”

“Do you think I’m happy about the current state of business?” he snapped, already on a short fuse from the stress of it all. “There will always be people desperate for drugs, there will always be customers. But I refuse to get caught because of your insolence! Go cry to someone else over how hard your life is -- isn’t that more Jones’ forte?”

kissmekatharina:
“My survival instincts have always been questionable, you know that.” Katharina grinned, sitting down and getting comfy. “We didn’t really have a good enough catch up the other night, so I thought you’d want to carry on from where we left off.”

“That’s true, and also foolish,” Scooter sighed, watching her with exasperation as she took a seat without his permission. He wouldn’t hesitate to hurt her, but she was just so familiar to him that he often forgot she was now loyal to another Baron. “What gave you the impression I’d wish to carry on?”

“I… I have the money from the last pick up.” He said, hands shaking just in nerves. “I also have rugelach. But that’s just for fun.”

“Ah, good, yes. No one saw you, did they?” Scooter calmed ever so slightly at the prospect of money. After all, that was what he was striving for.

Robyn was good. Mention of Scooter not wanting her to tell him made his focus shift and his brows knit together. “Sit down and spit it out girl.” Bouncer snapped with annoyance. His brows were furrowed with concentration, as he certainly didn't like to be played with.

Robyn shut the door and walked over to the baron’s desk, sitting in the chair set in front of it. “It’s about the, uh, situation we’re in right now. I know who-” She paused, as if she was thinking over what she was about to say. It was important that this didn’t seem too rehearsed (which, of course, it was- she had spent at least an hour in front of the mirror practicing). “Actually, maybe I shouldn’t. Scooter probably won’t want me telling you… I should go. Sorry to, um, waste your time.” She stood to leave, praying to whatever god was out there that Bouncer asked her to stay.

Bouncer didn’t respond, since he didn’t believe she deserved praise for following orders. He knew she’d done as he asked and if she hadn’t he would have punished her for it... though now, she just completed a mission. As was her duty. “Well that is a shame,” he mused when she brought up her medication. He had some... though he wasn’t providing to his dogs right now. They would sell and he couldn’t have that. Not with everything that was going on. “Come back in a week and I may have something for you,” he said simply. He was confident that she didn’t have a choice. Wouldn’t want people finding out what she was capable of and all...

Of course, Elodie never looked forward to seeing him whatsoever. But him showing up unannounced for any reason to talk to her was far worse than the other way around, so she made sure she was the one to stop in on him. Just to feel like she had a little more control. “I did what you needed,” she began with a murmur. Surely he knew that, but it seemed right to remind him before delving into what she now needed from him. “’m out of medication, though.” More like she’d lost it a couple weeks ago and enough time had finally passed that she could ask him for more. “Can’t function too well without, as you know, so—”

Bouncer waved his hand haphazardly towards the door to indicate she could close it and folded his hands on the desk. “Oh?” he asked with a brow arched and almost threatening. He knew that his mutts were struggling, but with the police cracking down for this fleeting moment he really couldn’t do anything about it. Not now anyway... these children were so needy. It was getting tedious. “What is it that you have to tell me, hm? Whatever it is it had better be worth my time, Robyn.”

"Hello, sir,” Robyn smiled slightly and stepped further into the office. She knew she had to be there, and it was better to just get it over with, but still - she really, really did not want to be there at that moment. “I, um, I actually have to tell you something. Do you mind if I close the…” She gestured towards the door with a small shrug.
