(hi guys if you're seeing this lol!!) regardless, i am a real true big huge fan of pretty much everything all of these people have done in this space and will probably always read anything gelphie they publish from here on out. everyone listed here are all true understanders of The Characters to me <3

in terms of fics that i love, OBVIOUSLY i am an attrition stan!! but since that fic ended, some ongoing fics that make me excited every time they update include:

If I was on the screenwriting team, Part 2 would end with Glinda walking into the room after burning the effigy. She’d be tired and worn and she’d be refusing to speak to anyone. Outside the door the help whisper. They talk about a green bottle, a rumor about a hat.

She takes her crown off and looks at herself in the mirror. She’s pale. Skinny. She looks like she’s forgotten what a smile is, looks like her muscles wouldn’t know how to conjure one anymore than she can conjure magic.

Wind blows and she looks to the balcony doors but she’s not there; she’ll never be there. The doors are closed and the only breeze comes through a window that Glinda insists remains open.

(Just in case. But. Well. Not anymore, she supposes.)

She gets up to close the window, fingers lingering against the pane as she looks to the sky. Nothing has changed really - Glindas world has been upended and set alight and Oz continues on. Celebrates.

Her eyes move from the unmoving sky and glance at her bed. That’s when she sees it. Curiously she goes over, head tilted, crease in her brow and it’s right there.

She reaches out and lifts the little leaflet.

Finally, she smiles.

Like I know how it’s gonna end but I need Wicked Pt 2 to have a shot right at the end, even after the credits, where Glinda comes home from working - she’s tired because she’s sick of men in politics being all…well men in politics - and she goes to her room. Everything is made up, the help are amazing, and she puts down her wand (next to a familiar black material) and looks in the mirror. She looks tired and she looks older. She looks lonely. All of Oz worship her - minus the few Wizard wannabes who have made it their sole duty to spread evil about her - but she has never felt as adored as she did back in Shiz when Elphaba told her to come with her (on the train to the Emerald City and then again…in the attic)

She changes for bed and “For Good” plays instrumentally. As she sits on her bed there is movement by the window, a shadow. Glinda frowns because nobody should be up this high but before she can panic a hand, a familiar hand, one she had held countless times pulls back the drapes.

“Glinda”

“Elphie?”

and that’s it’s. End. Credits. Whatever.

The Fiyero-Elphaba fans can still get their ending in the original version which I’m absolutely not against, the Glinda-Elphaba fans get a nod. That’s all.

I wish I had my laptop because somethings are a LAPTOP rant and some are a PHONE rant and the new Gelphie Wicked trailer is a LAPTOP rant.

However, saying that, I really need my gays, they’s, and strays in my phone to not get too excited at anything more than a hug, handhold and perhaps a cheek kiss because I really can’t see it happening.

(Quote me on this in November if I’m wrong because that would also be fantastic.)

Was it gay as fuck? Of course it was.

Does that mean anything? No.

The second part definitely is about the girls but it absolutely looks like there’s more manipulation on Glinda’s side, or certainly leans heavily towards the idea The Wizard and Morrible use Glinda to try and convince Elphaba to stay more than perhaps the stage show does. The swing scene? The “it’s time for us” scene? The balcony scene?

Which, honestly, I’m kind of excited for. Give me manipulative Glinda and political enemy Elphaba ALL DAY.

Like, baby, you know I ship Gelphie forevermore but it’s VERY telling they left out any Fiyero scenes besides the “I have changed” and the gun. It’s telling we barely saw the Tin Man and Scarecrow. It’s telling there’s no Nessa.

The clips are definitely misleading and I’m not sure why they’ve taken that angle (and in gay month!!!) but they know who they’re advertising for. I just really don’t want people building their hopes up.

Or I could be wrong. I don’t know.

What I do know is the fanfics born from this trailer are going to be crazy.

Someone please explain why it is I’ve been out today for my friends birthday and my hair looked okay. Just okay. Soft curls, few flyaways, little volume. But when I come home and throw it in a high bun to do some laundry and some cleaning tasks it looks fucking amazing. Fat curls, great volume, shiny and healthy.

Get in the bin. I hate everything.
