i think BOTH will connolly and will roland portray jeremy as an autistic-coded teen very well, just in very different ways

will connolly plays jeremy more like, for lack of a better term, an "outcast-autistic" coded character. he has a bit of a monotone voice, doesn't keep eye contact, and he seems shy and less excited or expressive about things. he shows the kind of real life anxiety and actions of an autistic teenager who tries to desperately fit in, but he can't. he sounds nervous about what people think, and he sounds like he watches his words. his body language shows longing, watching the popular kids then trying to imitate that without a word.

will roland on the other hand is the opposite. he always sounds excited, expressive, he also doesn't keep eye contact, but he doesn't give off the "shy-easily-flustered" type of kid that i feel like jeremy should be. he seems exited to be there, not nervous about how people think of him and he's very loud, not soft spoken or mumblly like connolly.

i think both of them are great, they both have excellent acting and singing talent, but when i think of the kind of person jeremy is based on purely the song lyrics + their meanings, his dialogue, and his actions, i think of the kind of character will connolly portrays him as. but overall my point is that it's all dependent on who you interpret jeremy to be <3

Okay so I've been thinking a lot about what the gang's squips would look like, even if I know that I think they have canon ones? I just simply do not care about canon when it comes to the Squips appearances lol
