༄𝓃𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝓈 𝓁𝒾𝓀ℯ 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓈

the soft hum from the tv is heard in Chris’s and your ears as you lay down on the couch snuggled into him. the glow from the screen enhances Chris's features carving out his cheekbones and sharp jaw. although the tv is playing your latest obsession that you and Chris have been binge watching, you can’t seem to focus on anything else but him. the way his beautiful blue eyes focus on the screen so much so you could almost watch the show from the reflection in his clear orbs. or the way his chest rises and falls slowly indicating his peacefulness and tranquility in this moment. Chris seems to pick up on your staring from his lap as he speaks up “your staring” he says with a slight smirk, not taking his eyes off the screen in front of him, he gets nothing but a giggle in response. “do you want something, baby?” he says softly now meeting your gaze, “ m’ good, just looking at you” you say in the same soft tone as you look up at him with a tired smile. as the show goes on, your attention shifts further and further away from it and seemingly so does Chris’s. every now and then you share glances and soft caresses in silence, just taking in each other’s presence. “i love you so much, y’know that” chris says as he gently rubs his thumb on your cheek “i love you even more” “nuh uh, that’s impossible” he replies with a smirk “ok, i’ll settle for that honey” you say back with a giggle as you lift your head and gently kiss the tip of his nose.

it’s serene nights like this that you enjoy the most.
