I got my first shot of Testosterone today, I am starting at .25mg. I had my mom give me the shot because I was shaking. Needles aren’t my thing. But I think in two weeks, which is when Im supposed to do my next dose. I will be ready to do it myself.  Injecting it didn’t hurt at all, I really expected it too. I mean, Im still nervous about needles and such, but since it didn’t hurt I think I got it.

Without any hormone treatment. I'll be picking up my testosterone tomorrow from the pharmacy. As long as they actually get the needles I need in before my ride goes to work. Fingers crossed I want to start asap lol. https://www.instagram.com/p/BpQRYRRlETk/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=eriwmyo4euuj

With Monday coming up I find myself more nervous.  I am still really excited, like I can’t even put to words how amazing I feel, but I also find myself getting nervous about it too.  Like, there are quite a few questions that I don’t even know how to put to words? They are just anxieties I suppose.
Some of the questions I have that while reading research, I’d prefer to hear from my doctor, is, Will I gain weight, will it change my tastes/appetite in food, what will happen to me if I lose my insurance will there be payment options or will the treatment cost to much for me to afford.  Things of this nature. I’ll try to remember what he says and post it once I get the answers.

This is my first post, and first thing about transitioning.
Hello I am Bro, I’ll be using mostly fake names of people who will be mentioned in this, so that I’m not outing anyone. My real preferred name is Christopher, but again, feel free to just call me Bro. My icon is Bro Strider from homestuck because I currently don’t have a picture of myself that I am happy with making my icon.
If at any point during my transition you have a question you would like answered, feel free to message me or drop it in my ask box. If I don’t have the answer, I will ask my doctor, as he is a really great guy.
If you have any stories of your own from transitioning that you would like to share, or just your life as a trans person in any place in your life, feel free to submit it to my inbox. I’ll preview it and post it.
I went to the pride clinic on Oct. 11th, 2018, to see about my options for starting Testosterone.  I have a date to start, Oct. 22nd, I go back to the clinic to get my prescription and get my first dose.  I’ll post what I learn from the questions I've gathered from friends and family and myself, once I get the answers. A small example is, what will happen to my appetite, will I gain weight, are there any bad side effects I should be aware of, and if my insurance stops covering it what are my options?
