I know Black Lightning is a good show cause it breaks my ADHD Attention Barrier. What does that mean? Well when a show it's not good or uniteresting I just kinda mentally check out but when a show is good I talk to the TV like this folks could even hear me. I make comments and quips and my attention it's so in sync that it's like my ADHD just turned off.

And I think it's because mostly about how well defined the relantionship in the Pierce family are. I literally empathize with everyone there, like when I'm talking to the screen and Jen and Anissa are fighting I'm rooting for both of them.

Anyways I just like nerding out about this show, might rewatch it now. Back when it was one I used to be on Facebook groups where we debated the new episode every week. And I learned a lot about American Black Culture while in there and when you're in that position you start to seek the counterpart in your own culture. It's like a domino effect, maybe I wouldn't know that much about Maria Remedios del Valle (Freed Black Slave who fought for independence in my country, Argentina) or about how some African roots were traced in Tango or about Soldado Cabral (the black soldier who saved San Martín, the most important founding father in Arg)...

So to sumamrize: Black Lightning broke my neurodivergence, Anissa and Jen are sister goals and when you widen the bounds of the content you consume you come out a healthier individual or at least more perceptive.

Y'know, some people do have a strong crying response to stress, and they might cry (even against their own will) when faced with an upsetting situation and that doesnt mean they are "gaslighting" or "manipulating" you.

There are people who use crying as a manipulation tactic? Absolutely. But that doesn't mean that every person that cries during a heated argument is trying to get under your skin. They have their own emotions and issues, and frankly, not everything other people do is a personal attack on you.

unfortunately i am a superhero genre enjoyer which means i like deconstructions n criticism of it but its so insane how a genre whose main criticism could be glorifying the police state ends up swarmed by conservatives. alan moore writes watchmen like imagine all the war crimes the us govt would commit if it had acces to superhumans itd be so fucked up. who watches the watchmen yadda yadda. and then every comic writer after him went oooo look at fascist superman you know what we need to get rid of fascist superman? an even bigger fascist batman. i am so fucking smart. something something
