KYOTO JURY QUESTION
To everyone-- how did you play like a hero/ villain (depending on your starting tribe), and did you play like the opposite at all? I honestly haven't had a chance to read jury statements yet so if you've already answered this direct me to it. Thanks!

JURY ANSWERS
Jordan P.
My social game is what kept me in the game. During the early phases of the merge I played the middle until I ultimately picked a side, gathering info from both sides of the vote. After I turned on Seamus, I had to keep my head down for awhile, but still maintained relations with Logan and Nicholas. I wasn't a target during this portion of the game, and didn't become one until Jordan and I were on the chopping block. Once Jordan left, I did my best to logically reason with those who were left to keep me over Seamus. I’m no social butterfly, but I was fine because I made people believe it was in their best interest to keep me over anyone else.
Matt
What initially made me flip was the lack of trust I had in him, so I wouldn't have flipped. I would have still been close to Jordan to some extent, but we would not have become as close in that hypothetical situation.
Jordan M.
First of all, my game wasn't controlled by Jordan. I still maintained my own relationships with everyone still in the game. Once Jordan left, I immediately went to Steffen and Logan about voting out Seamus since he was the next threat to win. Whether or not Logan was already set on voting against Seamus, he seemed more on board than Steffen was. I was hoping it would be 3-1, but my suspicions came true and all the convincing I tried to do gave no payout. After the Final Immunity, I do believe I was brought here on the basis that it was more difficult to win sitting next to Logan, so you could be correct in that I “skated by” at this point, but surely nowhere else.
Duncan
I honestly agree that neither of us completely deserve this win, which is exactly why I wanted to snuff my own torch for Jordan to stay. He very obviously worked much harder to get to that point than I did, but that doesn't necessarily mean I didn't do any work myself. I showed loyalty to those who were loyalty to me to make sure the people who would keep me stayed (The Jordans, Nicholas, Logan), attempted a blindside, and continued fighting for my place in the game after Jordan was voted out. I didn't play a flashy game, but I played one that definitely kept me safe. And honestly? Even if I’m deemed the least deserving winner this series has seen, I’d still be proud of the game I played.
Jay
First of all, I would like to apologize for coming after you. It was based on something I should've taken with a grain of salt, and should've guessed was twisted.
1. My story would revolve around me feeling like just a vote to everyone else in the game, but when I take the game into my own hands I don’t get the result I’d hoped for. Afterwards, I’d be shown looking for ways to overthrow threats. My departure from Seamus’s alliance would be highlighted, along with my partnership with Jordan Pines. While I’d rarely be the focus of the episodes until the finale, I’d always be shown being correct about the direction of the game in confessionals.
2. The most fun I had in this game, believe it or not, was holding a book over my head for 45 minutes. I’ve always wanted to give my long, noodley appendages the chance to compete in this type of challenge. Even though I lost, it was challenging, yet exciting!
Logan
I think Steffen and I both had an “oh shit” moment when you shook both of us with your plea after the Final immunity tiebreaker. One of the reasons I promised to take you to FTC had I won Final Immunity was that you had been an honest, loyal ally to me throughout the merge and you truly deserved to show the jury that you were more than a goat. I related to this a lot, and is the same thing I’m trying to prove right now.
Steffen deserves the win because he was always frickin immune! He was only eligible to receive votes twice the whole merge, and then thrice premerge. He used the game itself to his advantage, finding advantage after advantage, idol after idol, until everyone and their gotdam mother fell victim to the Bag of Tricks™ Steffen Edition.
Nicholas

Lily
What got me through the merge was my social game. It’s explained in each of the above answers, but to summarize: I knew when to make moves and when keep my head down. There were votes I shifted into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, and for others I just went with the plan. Once I made waves by targeting Seamus, I restricted myself to just asking what the vote was and making sure I was still in the know. It wasn’t flashy, but just self-preservation.

Hoenn FTC Opening Speech
Hellooooo everyone! Before I get too delusional, I’d like to thank all of the hosts for putting on this awesome season, and all the people I had to step on to get here! Kidding— all jokes aside I had a great time playing this game and meeting new people :)
I started the game inactive to the point that I was targeted because of it, with no intention of even playing. It wasn't until Billy and Seamus woke me the fuck up via snapchat that I actually opened Skype to play. After that, the premerge portion of the game was slow, consisting of quits, voting out inactives, and building alliances.
I think I’ve come a long way since then, and this game became my top priority once the merge hit. Another wake up call I received was from Jay, who according to Seamus, wanted me to go next. This prompted me to take action immediately, making sure he went next.
After that, I flipped alliances, realizing Seamus and Duncan were huge threats. In the rounds prior, I was already comparing receipts with Jordan Pines about things Seamus was saying, and we began to realize things weren’t matching up. That made the transition to working with my new alliance an easy one.
While I was working my way into Jordan’s alliance, I attempted turning Seamus’s alliance against their leader. I first went to Nicholas about it since we worked together in the past, hoping he and Logan would vote with me against Seamus in the next round. Unfortunately, the result wasn't what I thought, and Nicholas and Logan didn’t vote the way I expected. This botched vote was definitely a misstep for me, however it solidified me working with Jordan for the rest of the game having turned on my closest ally up to this point.
The one consistency anyone can see across all of my games is that I set myself up as the subordinate to a power player. In this game, it was Seamus and then Jordan. I played the middle until I chose a side, sharing information between the two until it blew up in my face and forced me to pick a side. My main strategy throughout the game was to target those threats, along with anyone who had more power than I did. I wasn't afraid to turn on allies, especially if they were threats to win. Even though the merge was based around two dueling alliances, I knew I wasn't a target of either side.
There’s no way I can take responsibility for planning people’s demises, but I was always willing to vote anyone out. People knew this, and trusted me with information.
That’s all I have. PLEASE ask questions and help me jog my memory because a lot of what I did was self-preservation and subliminal. And to leave you with some final words, a vote for me is a fuck you to Dan “Flippers Never Win” Foley!
