| ♔ | L. & LOUIS DE POINTE DU LAC | ♔ |

This was a common occurrence for him, going on walks at night. It got him out of the house and usually out of his head. And sometimes, if he was really lucky, he’d meet some people of his own. He was honestly surprised at how many vampires were here.
Even more of a surprise was the vampire that had just said his name. He should have expected him to show up eventually, what with Claudia being here too, but it was still a sight he didn’t expect to see.
“Lestat.” He walked over. “I didn’t know you were here.”
━━━━━━━━━ | ♔ | ━━━━━━━━━
The relief that crashed through them was unparalleled. Louis was here alongside them. Louis was alive. It was more than they could have had hoped for. Gabrielle was always good at surviving, they knew Louis couldn’t be safer with anyone else after the concert. Still, the vampires turned Roman candles had left an impression on their mind. Lestat could not bare to lose another person they loved. And Louis… They had taken Marius’ advice entirely to heart upon seeing him.
Make them because you love them.
Always. Fatally.
“Mon Louis,” They breathed, a moment of reverence before their hands were on him. Tracing the lines of his shoulders, resting upon his jawline while their thumbs swiped across Louis’ cheekbones. Lestat was reminded of their previous reunion by Carmel, the sea and forest air around them.
Lestat pulled back by only inches, keeping one hand upon Louis’ beautiful face. “That thing pretending to be our daughter said you were here. I wanted to believe her, but I couldn’t until I saw you again.”

When they threw the wallet her way, Beverly just looked at it for a couple of seconds before she reached down and picked it up. “Ah well you see there is no need for me to search for his name now when you have told me every single crime he did” she pointed out and then shrugged as she threw it back onto the ground.
Falling silent, she ran a hand through her hair. What was she supposed to do now? “If you are just gonna stand there and stare at me I would at least appreciate being told what your name is” she mumbled and then let out a shaky sigh. “Am I safe? Or should I run?”
━━━━━━━━━ | ♔ | ━━━━━━━━━
“Those are just the exciting ones. Petty criminals aren’t worth my time. Not when the city is just full of murderers.” Lestat kicked the body away from them to prove their point. They were old enough now, most weren’t worth their time. The blood was not a necessity, simply an indulgence.
Something to help them forget their age and the weight every passing year brought.
“Lestat. Now it’s only fair, I should know yours.” There was nothing fair with vampires. But Lestat was bored and had grown fond of mortals lately. Traveling with a few loud-mouthed punk kids would do that to someone. “That depends. Most mortals would be running by now but-” A shrug. “-You’re either stupidly brave or just don’t care about your own life. Which one is it?”

| ♔ | L. & CLAUDIA | ♔ |

(¸.• ♛ → she always was going to have mixing feelings for lestat, they took care of her, sure, but at the same time lestat and louis turned her in something that she didn’t want, an eternity as a kid, forming some sick family, she didn’t like that.
“are you blind or just dumb? a vampire.” she growled back, annoyed. “and i told you who i am, not my problem if you don’t believe me, ask louis if you want.” the girl just looked at them, not really knowing how to feel except those negative feelings inside her. .”how the hell are you here anyway? you were also supposed to be dead.”
━━━━━━━━━ | ♔ | ━━━━━━━━━
She certainly acted like their daughter. There was no mistaking that. Fine, they’d play along. Be the parent she saw late in her life. Lestat knew she had been too young to remember her turn, uncertain of how much Claudia retained of the years after. It was better that way. They expected Claudia would hate them more if remembered her childhood. Remembered that Lestat had actually tried at parenthood. What else were they going to do, let Louis turn her into a carbon-copy, self-hating monster?
“If you’re actually my daughter, remember that it was my ‘death’ that killed you. Don’t forget that, beastie. I can do it again just as easily. Personally, this time.” Lestat’s hand hadn’t been the one to push her into the sun, no. But it had been their drugged confession that sealed her fate. “You think you could have actually killed me? Even if you didn’t have a child’s body, you came along a little too late in my life to have been given any of my power. You may be stronger than mortals, but that is nothing compared to the others I made well before you.”
Their harsh words were a front to hide the thundering in their chest. Louis. Three of the four were accounted for, now. That was a luxury Lestat hadn’t been afforded for the past century, knowing where most of theirs were.

(¸.• ♛ → this happened almost in a blink, before she could even react, someone dragged her to an alley. before she could snap at that person and even kill them, she saw them, no…how that can be possible. claudia saw them dying, she killed them, louis also helped the second time…how is that lestat was alive? she just didn’t understand so the only thing she did was trying to get off their grip. “let go.” she growled, feeling the anger in her body.
maybe they didn’t recognize her but she didn’t care, her gaze was on them now. “what? you don’t recognize me? that much i changed?”
━━━━━━━━━ | ♔ | ━━━━━━━━━
This was a sick joke. Lestat half expected others to come out of the shadows, Armand himself the architect behind this little scheme. Claudia was gone. Lestat held her bloodstained dress in their own two hands, listened while Armand gloated. Her ashes weren’t scattered, she was not afforded the final death for their kind. She wasn’t free to live again- as a mortal and then again as a vampire- like Marius’ darling Pandora had.
Even if she had, Claudia would have a new maker. They wouldn’t be connected anymore.
“My daughter is dead. I held everything that was left of her in that dungeon in Paris.” A snarl twisted onto their face, holding fast to the girl. “Tell me what you are. Now.”

“I suppose we should.”
Lestat was beginning to realize there were subsets to their kind. The presence that encompassed one of their own was still entirely unique, different from the hundreds of thousands of mortals in this city. But it varied. The deathly pallor, fangs, little variances. Interesting variances.
“Lestat de Lioncourt,” they grinned, pushing out their fangs just enough to add a little dangerous charm to their smile. “Trust is a hard thing to come by for our kind. Let’s agree to something. I won’t try to kill you, you won’t try to kill me.”
closed starter for @brxtprincx (Angel and Lestat)
There was something about this vampire… Angel watched them. He was certain the other was also a vampire but they seemed different to the ones Angel knew, different to himself. Angel was already different with having his soul and not hunting at all. Normally he would tell Buffy as the Slayer about the risks of another vampire but this city was different. Things worked differently here and he was curious about this other. Angel was normally one to stay in the shadows, watch and learn. “I suppose as vampires we should introduce ourselves to each other.”

Just looking at the blonde and then at the body now laying on the ground, Beverly ran a hand down her face. “Does it matter if I believe you or not?” she asked. After a couple of seconds she finally decided to look at the vampire.. it was a vampire right? Now she was used to seeing weird things happen in this town but nothing like this. Not right in front of her.
“But would you mind telling me why he deserved it?” tilting her head to the side and crossing her arms over her chest, Bev eagerly waited for their reply. Should she run away? Would it even matter? How far would she come before they caught up to her? Would she be on the menu?
━━━━━━━━━ | ♔ | ━━━━━━━━━
“I would prefer if you didn’t call for the police, so yes.” Lestat didn’t want to spend their night in a jail cell. No doubt they would be held until morning. That was an outcome they were trying to avoid, mortals didn’t understand what sunlight did to vampires.
They bent down to reach into the man’s pocket, pulling out his wallet. Tossing it over to the woman, they smirked. “Type in his name to your cellular phone. The man has a public record, anyone can see it. A few weapons possessions, 1st degree murder, and then he tried to stab me,” An incredulous laugh. As if a mortal could ever hurt Lestat. “Even with those charges, he served minimal time. I would say he had it coming.”

| ♔ | L. & LOUIS DE POINTE DU LAC | ♔ |

There wasn’t a city in the world that could compare to New Orleans but Lestat found themselves enjoying their time in Washington. Agents were plentiful, recording studio less so but with enough money, anything was possible.
Magnus’ fortune needed to be put to use somehow, God knows the properties back in Louisiana were only wasting away.
Lestat stretched as they exited the recording studio, blinking up at the faint stars. It was one thing they missed about the eighteenth century, seeing the night sky in all its glory. Even vampiric sight was no match for the mortals’ fondness for light pollution. A hum left their mouth, some cover of a song the agent thought would be good for their “popularity”. As if Lestat wasn’t already good enough on their own. Their gaze swept the street, glancing over the mortals until they landed on one creature, as beautiful as the night he had been turned.
“Louis.”

There was nothing better than feeding. Mortal blood could never compare to that of another vampire- or even darling Akasha’s- but it came close. If vampires were liquid fire, mortals were the burn of the sweetest whiskey.
Detracting from the local population of murderers was just an added bonus.
Lestat let the body drop to the ground, wiping their mouth with the side of their hand. It wasn’t nearly enough to keep up with how they had feasted in New Orleans or Paris, but it would do. Their eyes flicked to the mouth of the alley at the sound of a fluttering, mortal heartbeat.
Fuck.
“Would you believe me if I said he deserved it?”

| ♔ | L. & CLAUDIA | ♔ |

There were times, when the night sky stretched long above them like an endless void and the stars seemed to mock them, that Lestat felt every single one of their two hundred and sixty-odd years. So much time doing what exactly? Pretending to be mortal, to have a family as mortals do? Existing out of spite? They couldn’t answer themselves, growing tired with age.
They were not so old as to not recognize another vampire. That wouldn’t be concerning, Lestat had passed by dozens since they arrived in the city. No this one- the tiny, blonde menace- was masquerading as one of theirs. Lestat knew every one of their fledglings and she was not one of them. Even if that familiar bond of a maker to fledgling was tugging at them. Two of theirs were dead and the other two… well. Both could be as good as dead with their penchant for hiding.
Lestat shot a hand out to grab onto the girl’s forearm, dragging her into the closest alley. Best not to have this little confrontation in front of mortals.
“What are you?” Their hand tightened around her. “I would answer quickly.”

| | | LESTAT DE LIONCOURT ♔ INTRODUCTION | | |
Was that CODY FERN? Oh no no, that was just LESTAT DE LIONCOURT, a CANON CHARACTER from THE VAMPIRE CHRONICLES. They are TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-ONE years old and ARE aware that they are not actually from Washington DC. Too bad they can’t stray from this city for long.
Hi! I’m Alice and this is my dramatic little child. I love them with absolutely everything I have. I’m going to format this like a muse page for easy reading!
BASICS
name
Lestat de Lioncourt
age
261
species
Vampire
time in washington dc
3 months (arrived early january)
affected by magic?
No
last memory
Escaping the concert with Louis (the end of The Vampire Lestat)
CHARACTER PORTRAYAL NOTES
Pronouns are they/them. Please do not use gendered terms to refer to my dramatic little fucker.
Lestat can only go out at night. Idk if that changes in later books, but no daylight for this portrayal. I like the angst and complexities it brings.
THAT BEING SAID. Lestat might show up a little crispy to certain events because they thought they could go out right after sunset and come away unscathed. Spoiler alert: they could not.
Yes, Lestat drinks human blood. No, they don’t go after “innocents”. Only those that are morally reprehensible so I will not be doing a plot like that with most characters.
I will not be mentioning Gabrielle in relation to the highly questionable shit in the first two books. On the off chance it’s EVER mentioned, it will be heavily tagged, put under a read more, and with my thread partner’s explicit consent. Personally, I find it disgusting so I try not to think about it as much as possible.
Please please PLEASE read the trigger page before you interact with Lestat. While everything will be tagged accordingly (and put under a read more if needed) I don’t want to cause any unnecessary issues.
I’ve only read until partway of Queen of the Damned and am currently struggling through it due to… Anne Rice related shit alluded to above. Yes I question why I do this to myself too.
The movies? Didn’t happen.
Alien cat-owl hybrid shit from the Atlantis run? We don’t know her.
