Social Media Campaign
Tumblr media
Social media campaign activities
The main platforms of social media are using Facebook and Instagram which are able to have conversations, share information and create web, interfacing our audience on a daily basis. The postings involve creating post offers such as giving special deals on certain periods to generate awareness.
We promote the scholarships as a paid video or story post on social media. We create sponsored ads that target only specific groups such as those from age 18 to 24 who are still searching for a degree course. Instagram reels also provide visual ads for scholarships details in a way of breaking down information into digestible bites as students remember some highlights details.
Social media Contests
In addition, host a social media contest encouraging our audience to participate by requesting them to follow or subscribe and also tagging their friends in our post as a form of entry and spreading the word. We plan to do this regularly which is a great strategy to keep our followers excited and engaged. Once we plan our budget on spending the giveaways, we will break it up between ads to promote the contest and money put behind the prize. The prizes for the winner will be relevant to our specific audience to easily attract entrants to become our future customers. For the contest, participants will need to complete a times marketing quiz online, video contest sharing why they love marketing and slogan contest to stand a chance to win a scholarship for a degree in marketing, opportunity to get a paid internship in big companies and study trips.
Conduct live events on social media
We will be hosting live videos to recruit prospective students. While college fairs and campus visits had been the traditional method of student enrolment, however now we have the ability to conduct a live discussion about our Marketing Program and campus life by going live on social media. Therefore, the prospective students and their parents will have the opportunity to engage with our marketing program members and admission team, whereby we can talk with them in real-time and answer questions. For example, we conduct Q&A sessions as well as campus tours so students feel more connected to us.
Event hashtag
When our social media campaign host an event, we apply our event hashtag #GetMarketingMinded to create awareness about our campaign and interact with our customers. We encourage students to use that hashtag on their social media accounts when they share the contents regarding our campaign and marketing course. Once students start using the hashtag, we are able to find user-generated content on social media by searching for the hashtag. We will also repost student’s posts on our social media feeds to increase engagement with prospective students.

We target straight thinking high schoolers!
Tumblr media
Left brained orientated high school students.
The left-brained, which is more analytical kind that would tend to work in category management/trade marketing roles, while the right-brained, more creative type would land the advertising and communication roles. Left brain orientation has 5 different aspect that make up what a marketer’s would be like in terms of thinking methods.
1. Logical
Instead of focusing on emotional response, our customers more on the solution for their problems. They also think about facts more than following their feelings
2. Problem solvers
Left-brained thinkers are excellent planners and problem solvers, and because they are not easily swayed by emotions, they are unlikely to reject a course of action based on personal feelings.
3. Focused on facts
Left-brained people love things that can be shown useful, and in marketing, they're likely looking for something that can be proven to be superior to the competition through facts and examples.
4. Analytical
Left-brained people will analyze more before making decision. They trust the statistic based on their research more than their feelings. When it comes to high price products, they will even be more analytical
5. Linear Thinking
Linear thinking is a methodical, rational, and logical way of thinking. Their brains frequently desire to form simple straight connections in sequential order, and a linear process travels along like a line with a starting point and an ending point.

Effect of Covid 19 on students and the education industry
During the pandemic, many students are unable to study in the college because of the lockdown regulations. This will cause a lot of dilemma and downfall to both student and the education industry. Firstly, the students, experience a lot of demotivation, depression, and mental issues during the lockdown. Why though? Of course, it is because of online classes, Lmao. Many students dislike online classes, and I can be the one who guarantees that. 😂
Another dilemma that the students are facing is financial issue. Many students cannot find part time jobs during the MCO, which means they cannot gain income, and cover their own expenses 😔 Let alone the business everywhere itself, are not doing well either way.  As for their parents, they will have trouble covering tuition fees for their kids. Imagine having to pay RM60-70k worth of tuition fee when their income is already decreased or in a bad state, while also having to pay bills and rents. Worst of all, our economy, is not doing fine too.
The education industry is struggling in this dreadful pandemic state too, there are many students give up on studies, and proceed to work. Some of them even wait until pandemic is over, then only return to the academy. Speaking of education, the lecturer will have hard time teaching students in online classes, it is not easy to change the method of lecturing from physical to virtual in a short period of time. Lecturers in older generations will have even more hard times than the younger one when it comes to teaching online. Not only that, but it is also tremendously hard to communicate with the students sometimes, having to check their messages and email 24/7, can be very tiring too

How to cope with mental stress during covid-19?
Tumblr media
1. Know that it is normal to feel how you are feeling.
It is normal during this pandemic to experience feelings of sadness, anger, frustration or even anxiety. I know how it feel and at this point it is important for you to communicate with others on how you are feeling. It is also okay to sit with these emotions. If these feelings worsen to the extent that you are no longer able to be your own, reach out to one of the suggestions listed below for additional support.
2. Maintain a routine.
You should start your day at about the same time each day. Set a timetable for coursework to be completed for each morning and afternoon. Maintain adequate and sufficient nutrition by eating three healthy meals a day. You should also work out on at least 20 minutes of physical activity each day.
3. Maintain good sleep hygiene. You should also maintain a consistent sleep schedule for 7-9 hours per night. Remember to limit your screen time before you sleep and avoid caffeine starting in the afternoon.
4. Connect with friends and family. It is easy for you to feel lonely and secluded from others during this covid-19 period. Try to stay socially connected with friends and family by engaging in video or phone calls.
5. Take a break. Lastly, make sure you have sufficient rest time for yourself. Take a break from your coursework and do some leisure activities you enjoy to release stress.

There is No Luck. Only Good Marketing. | Franz Schrepf | TEDxAUCollege
youtube
How can I achieve success as well? When people are confronted with the success of others, they usually ask this question. Franz Schrepf encourages us to take a fresh look at our lives and uses marketing ideas to persuade us that success isn't merely a matter of luck. We can earn agency and happiness by changing how we display and promote ourselves.
Franz Schrepf is an economics and business student at the University of Amsterdam. He was asked to talk at TEDxAUCollege because of the inspirational manner he applies major marketing theory principles to evaluate and transform our daily lives.
This lecture was given at a TEDx event, which was organized by a local community and followed the TED conference model.
Through AIDA, he encourages us to think more deeply about how to advertise ourselves and how to differentiate ourselves from the competition. I really like how he says that the most promoted product is the best since the product would not have gotten to where it is without the prompting. The way he tied the four P's and the four C's together with examples from his sense of humour made it much easier for anyone to relate to.

Is Majoring in Marketing a Right Choice for You?
Tumblr media
Before you consider enrolling in a marketing course, there are several questions you might want to ask yourself. Are you good at highlighting the positive things? Do you know the best way to communicate what you need to say? Do others think that you’re a creative person? In my perspective, these abilities all seem to play an important role in your marketing career.
If you are thinking of working in the marketing field, you should consider reading this blog as I am one of those people who’s already “in the know” about this field. I am glad to share my perspective on what qualities are needed if you choose marketing as your career.
What are the things that you should consider before Majoring in Marketing? Here, I shall share with you the traits and characteristics that an excellent marketing professional has.
1. You’re naturally a curious person
Have you ever driven your parents up a wall by asking the “why” and “how” questions, as a child? Do you still have that spirit of curiosity in you as you grow older? If you do love to figure out why people do this and that, or how a specific thing works, then you might be suitable for a marketing career. Curiosity enables you to continually learn and execute new skills and knowledge, as the world of marketing is constantly evolving today, with increasing new platforms and features available on a constant basis.
2. You’re a creative person
Nowadays, there’s a huge ton of competition for people’s attention in society. Hence, one of the most effective ways for you as a marketer to catch the attention of your target audience is to come out with your creativity to provide them with something very creative and outstanding. However, it’s not that every creative idea you come up with will be useful, but your ability to create innovatively and ‘out of the box’ ideas are very valuable. You surely do not want your audience to think that your advertising campaign is boring right?
3. You’re good at planning
Have you got plans for everything? Are you the type of person who has backup plans for every situation you face? You may think that a marketing professional just comes up with creative ideas. But in fact, it requires effective strategic planning and evaluates what could possibly go wrong and how to settle these issues whenever it happens.
4. You’re an analytical person
When something goes wrong in your life, are you able to pinpoint the cause of it and provide solutions? It is very important to know how to grow from your mistakes, make sure you are clear on what is working and what is not. There is a science to it if you have done marketing right, it’s not that you just try and fail, you have to measure every step you do to come out with positive results.

A Marketing Course Guidance
Tumblr media
How much do you know about Marketing?
Marketing is the process of determining, developing and communicating the value of a product or service to meet the needs of your target audience and while making a profit. I believe many people mistakenly think of marketing with sales. But the truth is, sales are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the marketing process. In fact, marketing started way long before products and services were formed. On the other hand, sales activities begin only after a product and service are conjured.
What are the Entry Requirements & Qualifications? (Degree in Marketing)
The good news for you is that graduated with marketing degrees have the most flexible entry I can guarantee. Before enrolling in a Degree in Marketing program, you must first complete your SPM (or a similar qualification) and a Pre-University qualification first. For SPM candidates, you are required to pass your English and Mathematics subjects to pursue this course. The following are the minimum prerequisites for a degree in marketing:
A-Level: Minimum 2Es; or
STPM: Minimum 2Cs; or
Australian Matriculation: Minimum of ATAR 50.0; or
Canadian Pre-University: Average of 50% in 6 subjects; or
Diploma: Minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
Foundation in Business or Arts: Minimum CGPA of 2.00
Normally, a marketing program course is about 3 years long. What you get to learn in this course is you will get a deeper understanding of current marketing trends and includes digital marketing and marketing analytics. One of the most exciting parts in this course is you will need to carry out a final year project and also go for a semester-long internship.
What Does Your Education Pathway Look Like?
After completing your SPM, you choose to enrol for your pre-university either a foundation program or take up for a Diploma In Marketing. Thereafter, you can proceed to a Degree in a Marketing course. You can continue your education after completing your marketing degree by pursuing postgraduate study which helps you gain more holistic insights on marketing business and expand your career options.
What Subjects Will You Study in Marketing?
Apart from learning marketing main components, you will gain basic exposure related to business fields such as accounting, finance, law and management. You definitely will gain more understanding of how a business operates and apply it with marketing strategies. However, there are some popular subjects covered in a marketing course :
Principles of Marketing
Business Law
Consumer Behaviour
Marketing Research
Integrated Marketing Communications
Retail Marketing
Services Marketing

In this modern world, many job titles are a great fit for introverts and one of them is content marketers. Content marketers mostly are working independently as they need to brainstorm on creating high-value content of that brand that correlates with their company’s marketing plan. They are able to express themselves creatively and develop the contents in order to raise awareness. Next, market research analysts work on analyzing data collected from surveys and sales by helping the company to search for their potential clients. They tend to spend more time on creating their questions to gain more understanding about the products, services and features they’d need and how much they are willing to pay. Furthermore, job scope for SEO experts must monitor analytics closely so they can change their strategy according to the plans that work.
