i really like this. while it's most likely the direction Caine is going to be going in i really hope he figures himself out in the end episode

I still think the difference between Caine and AM is, AM knows why he’s suffering.

With the new material especially. Caine doesn’t have the capacity or emotional intelligence to understand his own feelings beyond that they should be repressed because they’re different and weird.

But as time goes on he just gets too frustrated. The feelings become bigger. His paranoia gets bigger. More and more things start slipping out of his control, and he doesn’t care about keeping up appearances anymore. He just wants relief from this crushing sense of doom he has.

He’ll do anything to make them like him. (Probably) including making them fear him.
