Honey x 2 Days 1 Night
For the past months, I have been engrossed and deeply involved with 2 Days 1 Night (2D1N) that almost instantly, it became close to my heart. I was able to finish the season 3 episodes (except one special episode they needed to do for someone and the current airing eps) in a span of 2 months.
At first, I was a little bit hesitant about patronizing the 2D1N–because, this show has been a rival of my first love, Running Man, for so long now. But then again, I realized, fck that rivalry. These people and these shows are here to bring the viewers some good laugh and entertainment so there is no need for me to feel guilty or feel like betraying the other. Besides, the casts themselves are FRIENDS IN REAL LIFE! Hehehe. :D
So yeah, without further ado, I introduce to you a new era here in my little sweet haven of k-everything–2 Days 1 Night Season 3!!! The show is top billed by the fixed cast members– Cha Tae Hyun, Kim Jun Ho, Kim Jong Min, Defconn, Yoon Si Yoon (referred as Dong Gu in the show) and Jung Joon Young. Another member, Kim Ju Hyeok is also (take note of the present tense) a fixed cast member in the earlier episodes of the season.

2D1N is a show that goes on trips to different places to introduce local spots and delicacies of South Korea. Like the real wild variety they represent, they do extreme to ridiculous missions on these locations that spice up the fun and the camaraderie of the show.
And although I’ve only been watching the ten year old show only for months, my loved for it cannot be compared to any other show, yep, not even Running Man. If asked which I love or adore more between the two, I won’t answer you, because I love them both equally yet differently. :) But come on, maybe let’s just stop comparing these two shows. They deserve more credit than rivalry. :)
And in here, I would list the Top 5 reasons why I love 2 Days 1 Night! These are just some snippets of what the show is about and what makes it stand out for me. :) There might be spoilers along the way so better be ready! :D
1. BOK BUL BOK
Running Man is to Name Tag Ripping games while 2D1N is to Bok Bul Bok games or the games of luck. Through this game, they decide who are going to starve or who are going to sleep outside, camping style. There are a lot of Bok bul bok games all throughout the show, but I guess the most famous of them all is the Kanarrikano (fish sauce coffee) and the Sugeum Uyoodo (Milk Salt).
The entertainment factor for these Bok Bul Bok games are the series of unfortunate events that happens to *almost* the same person week after week. HAHAHA. Also, reactions after tasting the specialty coffee is gold!!!!
2. THE STAFF
Watching 2D1N isn’t just about watching the members play and travel, it’s also about the staff, who does not only do an amazing jobs arranging activities and finding locations for show but being the part of the whole show as well–meaning they interact with the members on cam!
I really love how they’d bend the rules of Yoo Ho Jin PD (which pisses him off at times) and diss Ryu Il Yong PD. These two are cool headed enough to be on the same wavelength as the members that others are referring them as a cast members themselves!
Other staff members that I also love seeing are:

Gyu Hwan aka Alpha O
Writer Seulgi
Da Hye aka Dung Stylist
Helicam PD
International Referee

3. CHA-CHA-CHA SIBLINGS
One of the main reasons why I started watching 2D1N are Cha Tae Hyun’s kids–Soo Chan, Tae Eun and Su Jin. I was watching a show with Tae Hyun, wherein he animatedly talked about his kids being the guest in an episode of 2D1N. I searched for it and it was the first episode I watched. From there, the rest, as they say is history! :D

But aside from the series of episodes they guested in, Cha Cha Cha siblings are often on the episodes as Tae Hyun always makes it a point to video call his kids which are always shown on cam! And really, it makes CTH an adorablea and ideal man y’all! I never really thought I’d find a married man so attractive…but here goes CTH proving me wrong! Can I have a Cha Tae Hyun clone, please?

4. SPECIALS
2D1N doesn’t only feat special landmarks and tourist spots in South Korea, they also allow unexpected people to shine on the show. And these people maybe considered ordinary people of everyday, but through the show, they are unleashed and became extraordinary in their own way.

These specials are also unexpectedly entertaining with the right amount of warmth that will surely touch your heart. :)

5. REMEMBER THE MEMBERS
Ten years and three seasons have gone by like a wind for this show. Hence, there were countless people who have been a part and will always be a part of the show. I am not only talking about the members (former and present) themselves, but as well as the staffs and that guest that they have already treated as a family.
I really love this tagline of 2D1N as it embodies the every single member of the show as a whole. They always honor everyone, a concrete proof that they will always remember each member. :)

That would be all for now! Stay in tuned as I’ll be making another 2D1N article featuring my favorite episodes of the show! :D
