Today’s changing world...
I see this country of ours dividing into so many different groups....#blacklivesmatter #policelivesmatter #alllivesmatter #dontkneel #resoecttheflag etc and I could go on and on! Who and why is truly responsible for this division? Aren’t we going backwards? I do see the media ... fake news or not - posting so much ‘fuel’ on different social media sites and it’s infuriating both sides of the topic to verbally (& horribly)abuse one another!
And if it’s not racial - it’s sexual harassment and abuse! Too many women and a few men too are just now feeling comfortable enough to share their stories of abuse. Where have these victims been? What changed or prompted them to come forward now? Whatever it was we need everyone to come forward ... to get all this out in the open and go find a way to effectively deal with these past incidents and more importantly find s way to stop future incidents!
And then there’s the political posts ... the insensitive name calling and disrespect for the POTUS! And his wife and even his 11 y/o son! I’m shocked at what people (even my own friends and family) will post!!
I admit I try to steer away from politics on social media sites... life was so much easier when political votes were private ... and voters came that info private! Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and beliefs but no amount of arguing / especially on Facebook will change someone else’s opinion anyway
