How Does Your Gift Help?
On a more serious note...
Sure, we’ve been posting interactive and entertaining GIFs, memes and photos all day during this 24-hour campaign. While that’s fun and encourages you to share the campaign, we should talk about why this is all so important.
Tumblr media
Your gift will go directly to students who are working hard to succeed in both school and life.
Students like Sarah … she instantly fell in love with teaching. Her practicum placement gives her the opportunity to observe while actively reflecting and refining her practice. She works 47 hours per week, not including planning and prepping at home, in addition to part-time clerical work to pay for books and other expenses. The financial assistance she receives helps to alleviate some of the financial stress and burden.
“I am on track to finish BSU’s five-year dual license program within four and a half years, to save money. My father works in construction and suffered greatly during the housing market crash. Although the market is slowly recovering, my father struggles to help me with my education. I am grateful for any help I am given to relieve some of my financial pressures.” – Sarah*, Major: Elementary Education
Your gift during this campaign supports students like Sarah. THAT is why we’re asking you to give today. http://bit.ly/backingbears
(*Note: Sarah is not depicted in the above photo.)
