[dbhc flavored] Hermit A Day May '25, Day 6: Mumbo!

Doing something a bit different with this one, too! I've always imagined that Mumbo switches to vests for the life series for mobility and such, and I think this is Mumbo's first major fit change in dbhc (as far as I have planned)! So I had lots of fun drawing some of my favorite Mumbo Last Life moments for today's prompt :]

so i'm doing a new D&D campaign for my wife's siblings, and i am flying by the seat of my pants. i have like 3 bullet points for each session and the rest is me just flying by the seat of my pants. flapping my cheeks until i achieve liftoff. twerking myself to heaven one clap at a time.

BUT i had this one section where they were fighting a flesh golem made by some freak mad scientist cult guy in the middle of an abandoned plague town, and the area is cursed to be silent. 100% no noise at all. but they could see that the golem was mouthing words the whole time they were fighting it, and they could do a perception to try and read its lips, and the words were just a long repeating litany of something like "...so i asked the trees who made the dirt, and the trees did not answer, so i asked the dirt who made the stones, and the dirt did not answer, so i asked the stones who made the mountains, and the stones did not answer, so i asked the mountains who made the sky..."

and that was a delightfully unsettling answer.

and then they killed the thing, and it fell to its knees, and they could read its lips again, and its final words were "...and now i realize that silence was the answer. so i'll speak silence too."

and now they're all freaked out about the boss fight coming up next session and im honestly kind of stressing because i dont think im gonna twerk up a spookier boss than that golem. set the bar too high lol

instead of either having a server be muted or unmuted discord should introduce a setting called special princess mode where the server is muted except ☝🏽 for one person that is your special princess and the emoji0oo990op09iop09i8o09i8op09iolp-09op-0opyujiko8o9i8ukol9iukolp9i8uki sorry. i got a drop of oil on my keyboard bc i was eating hummus with a little bit of olive oil earlier and i was cleaning that off. anyway and the notification icon is a heart. and they have to to call it that.
