Linger.

Another word for persist or stay.

It is when you linger around something, you tend to linger around in circles. It’s like swirling round n round as if you’re stuck in a fish-bowl instead of swimming in the wild. It’s like the tune of the piano that keeps playing in your head long after the keys aren’t even played anymore. Gives you some kind of peace or satisfaction, doesn’t it, going around the same thing, again and again? Lingering around the same thought, again and again? Lingering around the same place, again and again? Lingering around the same people, again and again? :)
