Forestiere Underground Gardens, Fresno, California.
It was SUPER sunny when I went so the top light made it hard to get photos. But if you have a chance to go it’s absolutely beautiful down there.

Stay in a real ghost town, just in time for Halloween. Built in the 1880s (and abandoned in the 1990s), this Utah town was once a saloon, a pit stop for railroad workers, a mining outpost, and even the subject of a Johnny Cash song.Eileen has been restoring the settlement’s buildings, including the old one-room post office and the former general store. In fact, that’s exactly where you’ll sleep if you’re brave enough to spend Halloween weekend in the remains of this old Wild West whistle-stop.

Project Proposal - Witchy
What
I’m going to photograph various shots of closeups and possibly people at a distance as well as do supplemental sfx editing. If photographing of people proves impossible due to scheduling and time constraints, then it will be more set and aesthetic based.
Why
I grew up watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch and currently listen to a bunch of Fleetwood Mac and other Southern Gothic music like Delta Rae, so I’ve always been interested in magical ideas or things of that type.
Basic Info
People mostly associate witches with the Salem trials and Halloween. Something spooky, but not all witches are evil and work for the “Devil.” A lot of people in the modern world still call themselves witches and use a lot of their practices for medicinal or good purposes.
How
My methodology for completing this project is rather simple, I have a plan, so I’m going to go take pictures. I’m going to try not to rely too heavily on the given schedule that I’ve made for myself because people tend to be unpredictable. If photographing actual people proves to be impossible, I’ll have the objects I’ve photographed as a fall back.
Hopes
To have a directorial project about witches that isn’t spooky or seen as scary, but as mystical and healing.
