Maybe I’m in a slump, maybe I’m not. But definitely I will be happy, again

My stress defence mechanism is piercing. Any part of my body.

The last time I got it (double piercing) was not so long after the loss of my Dad. Which made the total of piercings I had rise to 4.

A month ago I got my 5th. Last and this year have been tough, mentally. Không biết nghiệp từ đâu ra mà bị quật thê thảm. But what to do other than putting one foot in front of the other and moving forward?

Chẳng muốn than vãn kêu ca gì. Im lặng tự ôm lấy cảm xúc rồi move on. Close the chapter. Walk away. Walk ahead.

1. Though it was the shortest stay ever, this Tet felt draggy. Eat-sleep-and-repeat all day every day. Tet left me nothing with 3 ang baos, lower belly fat, regretful haircut, and a destroyed complexion. #Ishouldhaveknownbetter

2. Got asked for an impromptu coffee date with my cousin. 2 hours chatting. Talked about everything under the moon. The last time we spoke was probably 16 years ago?? Holy moly. And that was the only highlight of my Tet this year.

3. Boredom can turn you into an attention-seeker. Haha, oh well. How cool, calm and collected I am to see you again.

Birthdays these days become a reminder of how old, forgetful your parents are, and how downhill their health is getting. Still, it’s a day to celebrate their presence in our lives. Don’t ever take it for granted. ‘Cause you will never know when it will be the last to celebrate

As practical as she always is, mum instantly said ‘No cake!’ when I texted her hpbd on the morning of 9th Jan. Then I checked on my bro. ‘Hmm probably don’t need to buy cake this year. No people to finish it too’. Still, when the day almost ended, a cake was delivered, out of the blue! Out of all’s expectation! Haha, was from my sister, all the way from the States. Mum told me she cried ‘cause she felt so touched by what all 3 of us giving her. It went to my head, making me keep thinking about it. I know, my family might be one of the most messy, crumbled, out-of-place ever. But, you don’t get to choose your family right? Embrace it, try to hold onto each other, while we still can.

Last Saturday of the year:

1. Super duper quality talk over super duper good egg coffee

2. In love with my new nail design. Costed me almost 2 hours

3. Ate the best pizza and pasta in town with my bff. Surrounded by a dozen of lovebirds holding hands ahihi. And we still laughed at our stupidest jokes while keeping reminding ourselves that U30 will hit us soon 🥱 P. nhắn kêu sợ quá gần 30 rồi mà chưa có nhà lầu chưa có xe hơi. Tao chỉ trả lời ngắn gọn 1 câu: tới 30 tuổi tao chỉ hy vọng tao vẫn trẻ, khoẻ, đẹp, làm ra tiền, sống có ích và vẫn được trai theo =))) bff đồng tình răm rắp 😆
