i always joke that when i first got into svt i thought he was way too much for me to handle but the more i got into them the more i realized he’s like the epitome of loud around his friends and shy introvert otherwise.

but firstly i wanna talk abt how i MEAN it w/o bias (kinda) that he’s one of the best dancers in the industry. and it isn’t v close! like one of the first vids i watched was when him n the rest of performance team went and took a hiphop class in LA like first of all what idol is continuing to take class while they’re on a glorified business trip. w a bunch of strangers. and then proceeding to COMMAND the entire class. as a like. 20 year old.

his vocal tone is also genuinely v appealing to me <3 he sings w the same passion he dances like he loooooves his job sm and that makes it easy to love supporting him

in other fun things like i said he’s v soft spoken and quiet and observant. he’s the performance leader for a reason bc he knows his shit but garners respect for all the right reasons. he’s unabashedly silly. like half his person is just being silly. without a hint of shame. it is extremely off putting when an idol/person takes themself too seriously so i love him a lot for this specifically. and of course i don’t know him but he just seems very Good. I can only think to compare him to jeongguk lol. like i rlly don’t think there’s a bad or malicious bone in his body. he’s sincere in a lovely way.

Fans of the K-pop boy band BTS are calling on the group’s management company to remove the head of its North American subsidiary after accusing him of backing Israel in its ongoing war on Gaza.  Calls for the sacking of Scooter Braun, CEO of Hybe-America, come as part of a wider movement among K-pop fans to draw attention to the plight of Palestinians in Gaza. On 23 February, some fans sent a truck to the headquarters of Hybe in central Seoul, urging the company to divest from “Zionism and Zionists in the industry”, according to the Korea Times.  A screen on the truck displayed several demands alongside clips of the devastation in Gaza. One video appears to show BTS merchandise found among the rubble, with a caption reading: “They could’ve been your friend.” "If our demands are not met, ARMY [BTS fans] will continue to push for you to meet our demands. Do not look away when the same thing that happened to your Korean ancestors is happening to Palestinians,” the message displayed on the truck added.  “We ask that you stand for humanity, for the right side of history and against violence.”

In a letter-writing campaign directed at Hybe, fans accuse Braun of making comments or posts on social media that legitimise Israel’s violence in Gaza or obfuscate the realities of Palestinians living under occupation.  In December of last year, Braun spoke at a rally in Tel Aviv calling for the return of Israeli captives who were taken by armed Palestinian groups during the 7 October attacks on southern Israel, in which over 1,100 Israelis were killed.  “I had to come and stand with my people,” he is quoted as saying. Hybe distanced itself from Braun's comments at the time, according to reports, saying: "It is a personal statement that is separate from company management." The label has not made any further comments.

I understand that there have been talks about an Israeli invasion of Rafah and I understand how absolutely catastrophic that would be for what is potentially the most packed area in the world, but I just want to point out that it feels like everyone is anticipating with fear a potential assault on Rafah whereas attacks and airstrikes are already happening and in fact they never even stopped for over 6 months now.

Keep talking about Rafah and keep talking about Gaza. There are absolutely no "safe zones" in Gaza and there never have been.
