The Shape of Water FantasySci-Fi/Romance/Suspence Nobody wanted to watch this film with me, Katie was creeped out by the sea  monster, Mandy thought it was too stupid to watch. Set in the 60′s USA, a government research facility has captured a swamp thing and the facility’s mute female cleaner forms a friendship with it. A Guillermo del Toro film which means high quality fantasy and monsters. The film itself was fantastical, over-long and absurd in places but the cinematography is second to none with every frame a masterpiece even if the story lets it down.

I just do not see things as simply as you do David and I do not have the need, in fact I resist the need to label aspects of our society into boxes. I think I hit the nail dead on the head in the piece above, the comparisons are both real and frightening. 

I’m not going to stop calling out wrongs for the sake of harmony, it needs to be said as it flushes out the fox, if it “creates division” so be it.

You mention ‘advocating the means of production’, I think you mean ‘seizing the means of production’ -K. Marx, -that means theft. Seizing farms from farmers and then making them serfs on their own land, this happened in Russia and the state seized so much that they left not a grain for the farmers and their families hence the great famine, millions died . This happened most recently in Cuba where the farmers are slaves on their own land and Castro lived in opulent palaces. In Venezuela now they have finished eating their pets and are now eating out of refuse wagons.
