How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
Chimney is distraught. He has no idea why Tatiana left him, he thinks he did everything right. He was the perfect boyfriend. He cooked (or let Bobby cook for him), he cleaned (hired a maid service), was amazing at foreplay (shared every gruesome detail of their calls) so what was the problem?
Buck decides to show him exactly what the problem is. “You’re a visual learner, Chim” he says, a little tipsy from the multiple vodka sodas he’s had, “let me show you exactly where you went wrong.” He jabs a finger in his direction.
Chimney looks up at Buck, curiously, “What do you have in mind, Buckley?”
“Pick anyone in this bar!” Buck answers, confidently. “Pick anyone, and I’ll date them exactly the way you dated Tatiana and see how they leave in 10 days.”
“10 days?? There’s no way I was that bad!” Chimney protests.
Hen who’s been quiet this entire time, chuckles, “Yeah, you were.”
In other circumstances, Hen would never advocate for such a thing, but she is too interested to see how this goes to stop Buck now, who is smiling gleefully at her.
“See. Like I said, pick anyone! Any. One.” He is getting too confident now.
“Anyone you say?” Chim replies, “Okay then, I pick him.” He points straight at a beautiful man on the other side of the bar, currently in the midst of what appears to be an engaging conversation with an equally stunning woman.

“It’s been months, Eddie. I thought you were ready to date again!” Lena says.
“I am!” Eddie argues, “I’ve been trying!”
“Oh, please!” Lena rolls her eyes, “Going on a million one night stands isn’t dating.”
Lena rolls her eyes.
“Hey it’s not like I’m never gonna try!” Eddie replies, defensively. “I’m just having fun! I could get in a long term relationship anytime I want.
“Really?” Lena scoffs.
“Please, I’ve only had long term relationships when I thought I was straight, how could this be any different? I could get a boyfriend in 10 days if I wanted to.” Eddie replies, a little drunk on confidence. And alcohol.
“A boyfriend in 10 days, huh? I bet you can’t.” Lena looks back at him mischievously.
Eddie squares his shoulders, at the back of his mind, he knows this not gonna end well. He is vaguely reminded of the underground fighting ring Lena introduced him to, but the idea is already swirling around in his head.
“I bet I could get anyone to be my boyfriend in 10 days.” He replies.
“Hmm, anyone you say?” Lena considers, “How about him?” She points at the muscular man sitting in a booth with a birthmark over his eyes and the bluest of blue eyes that shine bright from all the way across the room as he smirks at him.
Eddies mouth goes dry. He nods, “You better be ready to pay up.”

5 times Eddie takes Buck out on a date, and the one time Buck takes Eddie out.
Eddie can’t explain the gnawing feeling in his stomach eating away at something inside him everytime he hears Buck talk about Tommy. So Eddie does what he does best, and pushes it down.
He is feeling sad about not being able to spend enough time with Buck. Solution? Find a way to spend more time with Buck. A google search of cool places to go to in Los Angeles, leads him to an article about fun date ideas in the city (which is totally not weird, they’ve just done all the things on all other lists).
He puts on his big boy pants, repeats words Frank has said to him countless times in his head and talks to Buck about missing him and sets up a weekly Buckley-Diaz evening.

Eddie shows up with his gaystache to work. he’s back from two weeks in Texas, Christopher is finally back and he’s taken some time off till things went back to normal.
Buck on the other hand, is single again after the thing with Tommy fizzled out. No one talks about it, everyone’s more than happy to put the whole thing behind them.
Buck drops a plate when he first sees Eddie. Eddie’s amused, he may be a little aware of the effect he’s having on Buck, despite all the jokes he’s been getting from the firefam. He isn’t sure but he hopes.
In his silly mind, he decides to put this theory to the test. Teasing Buck little by little everyday. Poor Buck doesn’t know what’s hit him. Till he does.
It all comes to a head when Buck finally confronts Eddie, with a “You know exactly what you’re doing, don’t you?” And Eddie doesn’t know how to respond other than to just let Buck have his way with him.
