📒Review📒 @beautypie's Matte Retouch Pore-Minimising Primer (£3.64/30 mL), Incrediblur Instant Retouching Foundation (£3.46/20 mL) and Concealer (£3.24/2 g) 👉 for before/after pics⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I loved two of these three products. The matte primer absorbed into my skin quickly. After reading the reviews, I ordered the concealer a shade lighter than my other Beauty Pie concealer. It was still darker than I expected, but the colour looked fine under the foundation. However the coverage was disappointing. I applied a few layers to the worst areas of my skin, but the redness was still visible. The foundation had a surprisingly thin consistency. My @realtechniques Miracle Complexion Sponge absorbed it all immediately. I wouldn't recommend applying with a beauty sponge. Overall I was pleased with the coverage, but there were a few problem areas where it just didn't cut it. I'll continue using the foundation - I love the natural looking coverage and how light it feels on my skin - but I'll probably pair it with my go-to concealer instead of the Incrediblur one.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👍Verdict👎⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💄💄💄💄 Matte Pore-Minimising Primer⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💄💄Incrediblur Concealer ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💄💄💄💄💄Incrediblur Instant Retouching Foundation

Upgraded my reliable @neutrogenauk Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturiser (£4.25 for 50 mL, Boots) with @deciem's The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (£5.90 for 30 mL, The Ordinary). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💦What is hyaluronic acid?💦 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in skin. It can hold up to 1000 times its mass in water, and makes our skin feel plump and firm. As we age our skin cells slow down its production. Topical application of hyaluronic acid moisturises skin by attracting and storing water. If you want to know if a product contains hyaluronic acid look out for its other names too: sodium hyaluronate, hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, on and sodium acetyl hyaluronate. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💦How do I use it?💦 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I apply 2-3 drops after cleansing at morning and nighttime, before massaging on a thin layer of moisturiser. Don't forget sun protection in the morning!

Clay masks are a luxurious weekly treat for oily and/or acne prone skin. Here I’m wearing Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque (£6.29 for 12 oz/340 g, Amazon)🍃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🍃How do they work?🍃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Clay masks are cosmetic preparations containing clay. They are applied to the skin for a short time in order to exfoliate and remove excess sebum (oil) and dirt from the skin. They don’t do anything in the long-term, but in the short term they’re helpful for oily and/or acne prone skin (excess sebum contributes to acne). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🍃How do I use them?🍃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I apply a clay mask to my face and chest once or twice a week, depending on how oily my skin feels. Wash your face with warm water and your regular cleanser to remove dirt and oil.* Some clay masks come in powder form and need mixing with a liquid such as apple cider vinegar. Apply an even layer of mask to your skin, focusing on any problem areas. Wait 10-20 minutes for the mask to dry and then remove it with warm water. I like to do this step with a muslin cloth for added manual exfoliation. Apply moisturiser and sun protection and you’re done! Always patch test new products to make sure they don’t irritate your skin before you apply them to your whole face. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ 🍃What budget options are there?🍃 Two of the most often recommended clay masks are Aztec Secret Healing Indian Clay (£11.39 for 1 lb, Amazon) and Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque (£6.29 for 12 oz/340 g, Amazon). I prefer the Queen Helene, as the Aztec Secret Healing Indian Clay comes in powder form and I am lazy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ * Skincare writers state that this “opens” your pores. Pores are the openings of your sebaceous glands, which produce sebum to waterproof and lubricate your skin. Pores are fixed in size, so while they can be visually minimised, they don’t open or close.
