I am failing here! I thought these were mostly Jem clothes, but maybe not? I can’t find the striped dress or the yellow jumper. Anyone recognize these clothes? Pretty sure the flower pants are just home made.

Okay, dollblr, I need your help

My friend's doll collection was stolen on May 19th by his shitty landlord. Charges have been filed, but the landlord and the moving company he used to transport the dolls and other stolen property have been uncooperative in giving the information needed to trace and recover the dolls.

I'm asking that this post be shared as far and wide as possible so he has some hope of getting his most beloved and distinctive dolls back.

If anyone sees a massive dump of Ringdolls and Dollfie Dreams on Mercari, eBay, or Facebook, especially in/around/from the Louisville, KY area, please contact me so I can let him know.

I will update as we assess the full extent of the loss, but the dolls we're asking people to keep an eye out for at the moment are

Ringdoll K fullset edition with attached hair, NS. No outfit. Distinctive features: One magnet fell out and was put back in back upside down, so his headcap doesn't stay closed.

DIM Minimee Ruki head, NS. Distinctive features: Vampire mod.

Custom House Mina (both Saint Mina and LE Sad Mina), NS

Ringdoll Quiz, GS, fullset

Bobobie Pixie. Distinctive features: sky blue skin that yellowed to a minty color. Probably wearing green pajamas with brown airplanes made by me.

ResinSoul Yao, WS. His first doll, probably yellowed a fair bit by now. Distinctive features: a small chip on one of her horns.

DIM Minimee heads of all Gazette and Dir En Grey members. If these turn up as a lot, contact us, it's probably them.

Is there any professional insect scientist out there that can explain to me why my beloved Praying Mantis, Pepper, seems to demonstrate specific person-recognition and has, during her adult life in particular, always seemed eager to come into my hand. When she was younger, I did handle her, but she was very active, often crawling all over me like a tree. Then later on, she seemed content to ride around on me all over the house. And now, at the end times, my husband texted me to say that she was dead (he’s sad too). So I arrive at home and I come to the terrarium to her, and she suddenly starts struggling to move. She’s definitely in the end times, but…she’s still alive! So, I get the little wash cloth out that I had put in there to keep her comfortable since she stopped being able to cling two days ago. She starts clearly trying to crawl. But its a terrible struggle. So I put my palm down beside her, she turns her whole body and with practically everything she’s got left in her little insect body, she crawls into my hand. Then she got still again. What’s going on here? Because…to me…this insect /likes me/. I’m willing to believe that an insect brain cannot sophisticatedly love, and that they operate on instinct, but I’m just seeing plenty of indicators that maybe its not so simple as that? 

this is not the first evidence, either. When I went away on a trip, my husband did all the right and proper things for her, and yet, when I came home and sat down at the desk, she crawled over to the corner and STARED at me for hours. 

We never hand-fed her, really. A couple of times with the tongs. But mostly, we’ve let her catch her own prey, so its not that she associates me with food.

Anyone with any sort of curly hair though…could tell you that any rapid changes in moisture are perfectly capable of essentially giving you a new hairstyle at a moment’s notice. It’s not a plot hole…it just confirms what we have always suspected: tesseract space travel is moist.

I’d like to say that in SC, there is a cloister of rabid fans, and I regularly introduced his song Happy Ending, to my orchestra students, since it’s a great example of how the ‘mood of music’ can overide or completely change the way the words sound. Starting work on her outfit tomorrow. Head is a Smart Doll chaos Vision that has had a 3rd eye open modded. I really like the look of the Prophecy head, but most of the time, when a seer is depicted with the 3rd eye open, the other two are closed, so I thought this head would be perfect for that. I painted her and thought, why not, I printed her a body with four arms. :)

Can any of my tumblr followers identify this pendant? I tried Google images search and came up with nothing. It was in my grandmother’s estate and it seems to have a very specific shape, like it’s symbolic. Garnet was her birthstone, and the fleur de lis has black enamel in it. I’m not sure if it’s gold or a plated thing, there is some mild patina on the grips holding the stone. The way it’s fashioned makes me think it’s possible that it was something you could choose the symbol and the birthstone maybe? Similar to a college ring. Anyway, any ideas at all might point in the right direction!
