a very short update today!

Yesterday was the fishing tourney! it was kind of nice participating in it for the first time in a while and I am excited to do it again in July to get the remaining prizes! Got a fish door plate and fish bag!

Scoot said I had noodle arms and he has titanic arms - oh okay😒.

Finally today! KK Slider came to visit and give his concert. Meaning that I can begin terraforming!!!

I want to say I will now be happy living an island life but I tell the rest of this month is going to be rough thanks to a certain bunny.😂

Since this is a short update. I thought I would share some real life stuff. Here is pottery I threw in a class. Will show the final results when they are ready :)

A series of unfortunate events

If you saw my last blog post then you already know that I time travelled😔 and I am not proud of myself, because the whole point of this blog was to not do that, but it became really frustrating just waiting to hit 3 stars on my island.

Seeing this message 30 times drives you crazy….

CRAZYYYY!!

This was the state of my island for a while. Literally took everything out of my house and placed it around. You can see that Mabel, Leif, and Kicks have or had been here during that time😭

I was getting so annoyed that I didn’t even properly screenshot for one picture loool

I did try to do happy home designer as a way to distract myself, but I also felt like I would begin rushing there too so I only decorated Deirdre’s home.

Three new villagers did join during this time as well — Ken, Filbert, and Barold loool✨

Funny story, I was trying this new thing of only choosing the first villager that shows up while using my nook mile tickets and it was BAROLD😭

After a series of continuous unfortunate events, I finally got the words I have been waiting for Isabelle to say for days!!…😭

KK slider will be coming on Sunday since the fishing tourney is tomorrow!!🎉

Hullo again!

As you can tell — I have Happy Home Paradise and Lottie came to recruit me today!! Or I guess I should say Tom Nook volunteered me for the position.😒

Before I went to work, I checked up on my villagers and they are doing all well!! I am still waiting for a villager to come to the campsite - which will most likely happen tomorrow! 🏕️

Scoot is making sure I am being the most fit I can be!

And Kiki is just being an angel as always (she also gifted me some pink sweatpants cause she thought my rabbit shirt was cool).

I picked out my work uniform which is the dress, but I made sure to choose a tool side bag to make it realistic as a designer✨

I fit right in!!🌺

I designed two homes today - Eloise and Ursula. Ursula has such a beautiful design.

I will probably alternate between working on my island + HHP just so I don’t get burnt out. I have been using a program to plan out my island layout, but will share that when I hit 3 stars and can terraform!🤭

April 6th & 7th ~ 🍊✨

Today is also going to be a very short update!

To start, I am going to be honest, it is becoming a little hard not to time jump. But, I am trying my best to act like that function is non-existent.

During this part of the game I find it is just a bunch of waiting. All three of the new villagers (Kiki, Rex, and Piper) have moved in and walking about (yay). I am now just waiting for the campsite to be built overnight and hopefully a villager to pop up in there too.

(I don’t think i can mentally survive another day of waiting) :D

My resident services has officially updated and Isabelle will start doing the announcements starting tomorrow!!

I have also received a bed (thank god) from Luna and can tour dream addresses for inspiration. Feel free to send me yours if you’d like me to take a look!🏝️🧎🏾‍♀️

I also bought a wet suit and have been going diving for extra money. I ran into Pascal and didn’t offer him my first scallop. I DIDN’T KNOW HE WOULD JUST STOP TALKING TO ME, SO DON’T JUDGE😔😭

He gave me some words of wisdom after I gave him the second one I found and advice on catching pearls.

Finally, to make journalling and story telling easier on here. I got the Pro Camera Instructions (?) from the Nook Miles Program. Now I can take silly photos like this.

We are now working towards getting K.K Slider to visit the island🎸, so expect my screenshots to contain a bunch of garbage around my island to get 3 stars :D

April 4th & 5th, 2025 ~ 🍊✨

SHE’S BACKKKKK!!!

As mentioned, the next few days were going to be a bit slow as I wait for all the three new villagers to move it. There was barely anything to update on yesterday, so I will just merge the 4th and 5th together!

Rex and Kiki are both moved in! Kiki is in love with her wooden chair. I could craft you hundreds more if needed, Kiki🥺

I finally went to Harv’s island and unlocked Photopia. Yay!!!

Did a matching photoshoot with my favs at the moment.🥰

April 3rd, 2025 ~✨

The next few days might be a bit slow as my island gradually starts to take shape, but I’m making a real effort to avoid time traveling and just enjoy the game at its natural pace (plus, I’ve got a 9–5 to juggle too lol).

As you can see, Saharah made an appearance—and I couldn’t resist picking up two rugs!

Rex is the first villager to move onto the island (I was secretly hoping it would be Kiki though😞 ). That said, I’ve got to admit—I really love Rex’s design!

Harvey also stopped by! I’m holding off on visiting his island for now—saving it for a day that’s not packed with tasks!

A bit of a silly update, but I finally caught a sea bass! It’s funny because it’s one of the most common fish in the game, yet somehow I didn’t reel one in until today lol.

Scoot was busy at home today crafting a cosmo flower crown—look at him, so focused! My shaylaaaa🥰

And finally, I had to take a moment to reminisce about the early days of animal crossing—tarantula hunting!!! What a wild (and slightly terrifying) time that was!

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m guessing Nintendo might have patched the tarantula trick? My tarantula hunting session turned into hermit crab hunting real quick lol.

Still walked away with 48,000 bells though, so I’m not complaining 😎🔔

Short update today because tbh— i was too stressed out doing everything to take many screenshots loool

I got a new outfit!! I never realized how well blue goes with orange. Just chose the least hideous shirt in the nook catalogue lool.

~ I think Scoot is a bit mad in the back since I took off the hat he gifted me. He did give me some reactions though!!

Mabel finally showed up and will start appearing from time to time!! Homegirl can take her time with bringing her shop over cause I still don’t know how I want to plan out Bufkin.

I spent quite literally all of today making the bridge and finishing the 3 homes for the new villagers joining Bufkin. You may already know Kiki and Rex are joining but….

Didn’t meet her at all prior to this (so she is the rando). I also have never had her on an island before and by looking at pictures…i’m shocked she’s a peppy villager.

First off — umm wow!!! I honestly was not expecting anyone to see my post so I was genuinely shocked by the likes, reblogs, and comments. THANK YOU!🍊✨

~ this honestly just shows how great of a community the animal crossing community is. i literally almost cried seeing the notifications.

ok done being sobby ~ HERE ARE THE UPDATES!

I updated my tent to a tiny home!! I was inspired by Scoot’s gift and made my room purple so now I match my house.

Blathers also came to my island. If you look back at yesterday’s post then you probably can already put together that I was able to give him everything he needed to get the Bufkin Museum built!!

~ his tent is so beautiful. i wish he had a dedicated space in the museum that we could view🌿

I was also able to get the shop materials to get that built!! This and the building of the three homes are probably my least favourite thing to do in this game. IT TAKES FOREVER!

(wood & hardwood are easy to find but that softwood….AHHH💢 - DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON THE IRON NUGGETS😡)

Scoot was an angel and gifted me some nuggets, but I unfortunately still needed to go to a nook mile island.

He also said that I radiate kindness and honesty because I like to work out my quads haha.🏃🏾‍♀️

5 flimsy axes destroyed and 3 (yes 3) bee stings later I was able to get the shop placed.

Thanks to Scoot (and Tom Nook for the free ticket). I came across two new villagers that will join Bufkin really soon!! KIKI AND REX!

I have never had either on an island before (from what I can remember) so I am excited!!!

Finally I decorated my home with all the things I caught, found and was gifted for today!!

i also spent some nook miles on the pop hairstyles. i couldn’t take the bowl cut anymore😅

March 31st, 2025 ~✨

Starting a blog to document my new Animal Crossing: New Horizons island! Lately, I’ve been feeling pretty burnt out when I play, and I want to rekindle my love for the game. By keeping track of my island’s progress through this blog, I hope to stay motivated and appreciate how far it evolves over time—rather than giving up too soon.

I chose red hair for my avatar to make them stand out, but it unexpectedly tied everything together perfectly. With orange hair, oranges as my island’s native fruit, an orange airport, and even an orange-toned base outfit, everything just fell into place!

My base island residents are Tammy and Scoot which I am really happy with!! Tammy gave me a leaf umbrella recipe and Scoot gave me an ugly purple hat! :D

I ended my first day with a bunch of fish and creatures in my filled up tent while I waited for Blathers tent to be built (peep the tarantula). Won’t have this tiny place for long though cause I paid off my first of many debts to tom nook (5000 nook miles).
