psa to everyone on antipsychotics during the summertime

some antipsychotics can make you more susceptible to heat exhaustion because they make it so your body cannot regulate your body temperature correctly. I learned this the hard way last summer, I got really nasty heat exhaustion while on a high dose of quetiapine. so check if your meds react badly to heat, and if they do, please be sure to wear your sunscreen, have light cover ups on or with you, wear a hat, and stay hydrated! be safe

Physical therapy is wild because they're always like "hey do this weird little movement" and you're like "hmm my brain doesn't seem to know how to activate that movement" and then they'll like trick your brain into doing it by making you do other movements first or making you resist against them moving you or some shit and your brain is like oooooh ✅ new movement unlocked. And then they tell you to do that movement 20 times a day and you do and it makes some part of your body you didn't even know was related hurt less. What the fuck.

Truly, what is it with small town cops and only caring about drugs? Guy beating his children within an inch of their life? Good old fashioned country discipline. Drunk driving? Off with a warning. Harassment? Both parties advised to chill. Animal cruelty? Who cares? Not them. Dime bag sized packet of meth found on some dude at a gas station? Need to photograph it and put it on Facebook so everybody can see how much we’re doing to keep the community safe. Does this do anything to stop the addiction crisis? Of course not. But we put away a 20 year old father of 2 who is taking stimulants to do physically grueling jobs to feed his kids and his dying mom, pat on the back for us!
