a small laugh. he’s not sure   ---   but this could be the first time someone used the word BEAUTIFUL to describe anything about him. eyebrows arch. CASE?  “ what kind of case?   ---   if you don’t mind me asking. “  & again; a question about HIM? this seems to be his lucky day, someone that actually somewhat gave a shit about his being. a rarity. “ i come here every night. “ okay, that sounds PATHETIC. “ um, ‘cause it’s kind of nice, y’know? the feeling that you KNOW everyone here? makes them feel like friends. “ even more PATHETIC.

lithe frame STIFFENS, she’d never gotten attention like this before. swallowing hard she nods, a small smile gracing her lips. blush creeps across olive complexion as she shuffles towards him. ‘  thats very kind of you, i thought that sort of thing only happened in movies. ‘ she mumbles quietly, digits fidgeting with her glass. ‘ i’m isabelle, i figured you should at least know my name before you buy me a drink. ‘

anton’s at the bar again, just sitting there; GETTING DRUNK. it’s the same game every night. he goes out, hopes the alcohol will wash away his ugliness & wakes up alone. his dull eyes wander around. he can barely even see his surroundings clearly at this point. that’s fine. he knows this place like the back of his hand anyway. then he spots her. another girl, alone in his bar. he takes a sip of his drink.

a smile, pearly whites peeking out. ( brushing his teeth was something his mother didn’t have to tell him twice, he loved the feeling of clean teeth. )  “ next one’s on me, yeah? “ he’s not some creep ( PROMISE! )    ----   he’s just really lonely.
