i LOVE when wardens are blatantly hypocritical. we don't participate in politics we are neutral they all say as they walk through battlefields between the privileged and oppressed in order to make their lunch dates to the kings and queens of their time. we have much more important things to do, such as hang out in caves and spend the rest of our time posturing with the rest of nobility so that they can be our allies in troubled times. who is going to tell them that's not being politically neutral that's the political stance of upholding the status quo

what a lot of people don’t get when they’re making up varric nicknames is that he is NOT going to be creative or poetic just because he’s an author. you can’t go too hard or too symbolic and then expect me to believe it. he literally called isabela “rivaini”

both the mage rebellion and the templars had the foresight to not send their most important people to the conclave incase someone might try something, but the chantry did not only put their most important person there, but also everyone that was an immediately obvious choice as her successor so really there problems are kinda their own fault.

Unreliable narrators are one hell of an idea. You can just write whatever, and if a reader points out "hey the way this scene happened should not be physically possible if it's done the way this character described it", you can just be like "yeah I don't trust that fucker either."

And I do think they should’ve brought Sandal back in Veilguard, because if he made the trick lyrium dagger, handed it over, and said “Enchantment!” I wouldn’t even bat an eye or consider it a deus ex machina moment. Like yeah of course he could make a perfect copy, and it would be so similar that it could trick Solas. It’s Sandal.

The plot hole would be that his copy would absolutely be capable of rending the Veil.
