{Mod Transmit here! Unfortunately going on temporary hiatus because of other obligations and real life happening. A shame since this is very early into this little sideblog of mine, I've also had some second thoughts whether or not to use a sideblog to tell my very self indulgent 'TFA Bumblebee in an Apocalypse being Sari's badass older brother x Everyone' story or just write it and post it on Ao3. It's a hard toss.
Either way, this sideblog will be on hiatus until further notice and we'll see where it goes when I have more free time! Thanks everyone who has been checking in from time to time, gave asks, liked and reblogged the posts!! You guys are amazing! I don't know when I'll be back exactly but hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later.
I'll see you all later! - Mod Transmit}

"Hey kid how have you been these past 2 weeks, is everything ok over where you are?" Saying with a worried but calm look on their face while the camera is still staticy. "Pls let this dang signal come through!"
*The traveling Anon*
The camera blinks to life, Sari squinting at the screen with a frown, "There! It's on again!"
The tween girl tilted her head, "Two weeks? I've only been gone like, a day at most! Bee and I went to the settlement yesterday, and I forgot to check the transmissions here..."
"Everything's okay over here! Bee just needs to do some patrolling by Lake Eerie in a couple of days, which... hopefully goes okay." Sari sighed, looking a bit worried.
Sari sat back against her chair, fiddling with something metal in her hands. "Lake Eerie is too close to the danger zones of infected Detroit, the old sections at least. I know Bee can handle it, he's been there before but I just... I worry, y'know?"

Settlement
Sari and Bee visit their friends in the nearby settlement.
Tumblr media
=========== Bumbling-Apocalypse ============
After saying goodbye to Meggy who returned to Bee's room, and making sure the transmission device was muted, Sari climbed up to sit on Bee's shoulder as they left their home towards the nearby settlement that was on the border of the ruins of Detroit.
Usually, Bee would let Sari walk on her own, but considering how deep and thick the snow was- it was just safer and faster to stay on Bee's shoulder. She was getting pretty big though, she used to be able to stand on Bee's shoulder but only reach the top of his horns! There was even a picture of that hanging on one of their walls of their home!
"So, got everything for trading?" Sari asked curiously, looking at the sack that was hauled on Bee's other shoulder. "Pelts, leather, minerals?"
Bee grinned back at her, even though she couldn't see his face behind the mask, but she knew he was grinning. "You know it. What about you? Chose good stuff from the haul to trade?" Sari adjusted the backpack strapped to her, hearing the metal clink and shuffle in there.
"Yup! I'll get you a new can of paint Bee, then we can cover up all these scuff marks and silver spots!" She exclaimed, spotting a few at the back of his helm. Maybe even try and get a new sand belt for Bee's knives, she knows the current one he has isn't as good anymore.
She wishes she can deal with the scars and dents, Bumblebee never really bothers with those anymore unless the denting got really bad. 'Got other things to focus first Sari!' He would keep telling her, the most he'd do in fixing his appearance was occasionally repainting himself.
"Sounds great, Sari." Bee smiled back.
The sun was shining down on the snowy landscape as Bee walked towards the settlement. Lil' Motor Settlement, or y'know, just Motor Settlement. Sari had no idea who named the place, but she thinks it was named after Detroit and how it used to be 'Motor City'.
It could've been a cooler name but the people of the settlement were content with it. And probably sentimental about it too, so who was Sari to complain?
The settlement took almost half an hour to walk to on a snowy day like today, the paths obstructed by snow as Bee walked on. Not even their usual shortcuts were spared from the snow storm last night, so it took a while for them to reach the settlement.
The entire time, Bumblebee quizzed Sari on the stuff she's learned on her own the last few days. Ranging from the plants that grew around the area to mathematics and science. Bee always said he wasn't very good at the last two, at least compared to the bots he knew who did. Ratchet and Bulkhead, Sari wondered what she would learn if they were around...
Soon, they reached Lil Motor Settlement, a place that was slowly becoming a town- they finally finished the road that went through the place just last month before winter hit!
"Finally!" Sari groaned in appreciation, grinning as Bee finally let her down from his shoulder so she could walk on her own without sinking into the deep snow. "C'mon Bee! Let's go!" She hollered as she ran towards the settlement's entrance.
"Careful Sari!" Bee called back as he followed after her, letting her run forward.
The residents of Lil Motor Settlement were well acquainted with Sari and Bumblebee, passively waving or greeting the two as they went through the slowly growing settlement. People bustled along the newly built roads and pathways, fires being lit for further warmth outside while vendors and shopkeeps were already up and running.
Sari excitedly meandered over to a familiar shop in question, a familiar hispanic boy sitting at the stall with an equally familiar elderly woman. "Raf! Dottie! Hi!" Sari greeted the two gleefully.
The grey-haired woman grinned toothily back, "Sari! And Bumblebee, boy, you're looking rough this winter." She noted as Bee approached the stall.
"And you're looking rough for your age Dots." Bee snarked at the woman, his mask snapped open, revealing the fond grin behind it. "Is that a new wrinkle on your forehead there?"
Dottie cackled, "Maybe, what about that dent at your hip?"
Sari and Raf rolled their eyes as their respective guardians snarked at each other like old friends they were. But only Dottie was showing just how old, the woman was in her sixties and Sari thinks she met Bee when she was around her... thirties? It was way before Sari was born.
"Hey Raf, you got any yellow paint for Bee?" She asked as she took off her backpack to rifle for the spare parts she had for trade.
"I think we have some, but first, show me your haul! I need to make sure you've got something I can actually use." Raf replied dryly, grinning at the way Sari glowered at him.
"That was one time Raf! ONE TIME!" She bellowed, trying to reach over the stall to smack him but the damn boy leaned away with a snicker.
============ Bumbling-Apocalypse =============
"ONE TIME!" His sister bellowed, trying to hit Raf from the other side of the stall.
Bee snickered with Raf but focused back on Dottie, "Keep Sari busy while I go do some shopping, Dots." He told one of his oldest friends, adjusting his hold on the sack.
"Been meaning to check up on her English homework anyway." Dottie hummed, eyeing the two young humans with a look of fondness in her old eyes. There really was a new wrinkle on her forehead, and as funny as it was to point it out, Bumblebee now felt sad as it just reminded him of how short and sometimes fragile humans were compared to him. "Bumblebee."
"Yeah?" He was just about to go when Dottie called out to him.
"Carmine needs to talk to you, be sure to meet with him later." Need? Not just want? Must be serious...
Bumblebee raised an optic ridge but nodded, mask snapping back in place. "I will, thanks Dots." He then called out to Sari, "I'm off shopping! Stay with Raf and Dottie, Honeybee!"
"KAAY!" Sari called back as she finally decided to climb over the stall counter to get to Raf.
"NO COLLATERAL DAMAGE THIS TIME!"
"Aw..."
He chuckled quietly at the disappointed groan but went on his way- mentally checking the list he made in advance. Supplies that needed to be replenished first, secondary items that could be bought or traded now or later depending on things, and tertiary items that would be a pleasant surprise to get.
The minibot went around the settlement, getting the supplies he needed, trading rolls of fur, bones, some herbs and other things- his greatest trade so far was trading the raw chunk of ore he found and dug out for a couple of ingots of copper and iron. Now that would be really handy.
By the end of it, he went to find another old friend of the settlement that apparently needed to him.
"Minnie! Hey! Did you miss me?" Bumblebee called out playfully towards the blond man once he finally found him. Kneeling to be at eye-level with him like usual.
Carmine Fanzone gave him an unimpressed look, "If it weren't for the fact you're useful as hell and Ma would box my ears if I tried to scrap you, you'd already be repurposed into something that didn't talk Bumblebee." The man grouched, glowering at the familiar nickname.
"Tough words for the boy that used to say I was the coolest thing ever and that he wanted to be just like me when he grew up." Bumblebee taunted, chuckling over the old memories before he sighed and turned serious. "Dottie said you needed to talk to me?"
The grouchy look the man had disappeared as he sobered up, looking serious as he looked up at Bumblebee. "It's Lake Eerie..."
============ Bumbling-Apocalypse =============
Tumblr media
"There's Bumblebee!" Raf exclaimed, pointing to where the bot was.
Ah, he was talking with Captain Fanzone! Her not-really-uncle! The man could be such a grouch but she was Sari and Bee's grouch! Plus, he helped teach Sari to hunt back when- well, back when Bee couldn't.
Sari grabbed Raf's hand so they could jog over to him.
"-ou sure Bee?" She heard Uncle Carmine or 'Minnie' as Bee and her would sometimes call him, he hated it.
"Yes, I'm sure. Don't send anyone else to Lake Eerie, I'll check it out Carmine." Carmine? Must be serious stuff they were talking about.
"Bee?" She called out, gaining both adults' attention. "What's going on? Are you going out on another patrol for Uncle Minnie?"
The yellow bot stood up, nodding. "Yeah, nothing too serious. I won't go now though, too much snow, I'll go in a couple of days." He glanced over to Uncle Minnie who frowned but nodded.
"Sounds good. Meet me over at the city border in a couple of days then." The man agreed, walking over to ruffle the heads of both Sari and Raf, much to their dismay and protests. "Alright brats! Behave! I got work to do."
"Uncle Minnie! Nooo! Not the hair!" Sari complained, feeling her pigtails loosen from the ruffling. Her uncle chortled before striding away without another word. She glared as he left.
Bumblebee stood over them with his hands on his hips. "Alright gremlins, why're you here and not with Dottie?"
"We need you back at the stall to choose your paint! Raf and Dottie have different shades." Sari grumbled, still a bit miffed over her hair. "C'mooon! Let's gooo!" The sooner they were back at the stall, the sooner she could fix her hair and get Bee a new coat of paint!
"Alright, alright! You're lucky I'm done with shopping. Let's go you brats."
============ Bumbling-Apocalypse =============
"All in all, a good day, huh Megs?" Bumblebee asked the silent head as he sat back against his berth. Having retold the entire trip to and back from the Lil Motor Settlement. He was careful not to move too much, a fresh coat of paint over his frame.
"Raf and Sari did a good job repainting me, but I wonder if I should've waited until like- Spring to get the new coat." He wondered aloud out of ingrained habit.
The Decepticon Leader's Head said nothing, optics offline like they've been for the past couple of decades. Bumblebee smothered the ache in his spark to snort, "Yeah, you're right. Who cares? Made me feel better, I feel like a new bot!" He boasted, smiling at the head.
"Anyway..." His faceplate twisted into something more serious as he thought back to what Carmine said. "Carmine said scouts have been reporting Mutabots hanging around Lake Eerie again. I'm going to go check in a few days, make sure they don't end up in the lake- the last thing we need is another fishing incident." He cringed at the idea, shaking his helm.
He looked over to the helm, as if to listen to what Megatron was saying. "I'll be careful Megs, gotta be remember? You and Sari need me back here."
Technically only Sari, but hey, it soothed his own lonely processor in pretending that the dead head actually needed him.
Honestly if someone told him years ago he'd be treating the decapitated head of the Decepticons' leader like a friend, yeah he'd think they'd gone crazy.
Truth was though, Bee had gone crazy.
Crazy with loneliness at least. Being the only Cybertronian around... it did stuff to a bot.
"Well, goodnight Megs. Sweet dreams..."
Laying down on his berth, his optics offlined as his processor plunged into unconsciousness.
Sweet dreams, little bug.
{Hello! Mod Transmit here, sorry for the very late post- had some IRL stuff to deal with and other projects to focus on! This blog will probably be a slow one since it's my side-project and mostly for self-indulgent fun.}

"It's okay, I'm used to it!" Sari reassured after receiving the transmission. "Honestly, you sound a bit like Bee and... well, my dad used to apologize about stuff like that too." Her face drooped, a look of grief on her face before she shook her head and smiled again.
"Thanks! For wishing me and my brother luck. As much as I wanna say we don't need it. It's better to have more of it to be honest. And yeah, I know! It's- it's kinda why I have this transmission channel open to anyone out there that can get it." Sari told the camera as she grabbed something off screen.
"Anyway, I have to go. Bee and I are going to Lil' Motor Settlement to trade and stuff. Hope you, or whoever is seeing this, have a nice time!" The camera turns to black.
"So what do the mutabots look like??? Wow I'm surprised I still can get a signal out here," said with staticy but still understandable mutters. Oh shoot it's still recordin- "Recording ends"
*The traveling Anon*
"It kind of depends?" Sari answered as she finished tying her hair up. "In the outskirts of Detroit, away from the center and more around the old factories, they're more mechanical-y, made of metal. Mutabots take over stuff like machines and stuff, mostly cars because Detroit was apparently called 'Motor City', it had a lot of cars, so most of the mutabots here are cars and stuff."
Sari paused, her face expressing disgust and slight horror. "We call'em bots but... they're technically techno-organic? Not completely robotic. It's... complicated. Before my dad researched a vaccine for everyone, Mutabots had the ability to like- absorb living people and animals. Now though, they can only fuse with dead things and even that's slowing down so thank Primus for that! Anyway, mutabots mutate and fuse stuff with whatever machine they originally were. It was... a really bad time, when they fused with living people. I wasn't even born for that era of the apocalypse, but there's still a few monsters from there that are around."
She looked away from the camera, "Inner Detroit is a danger zone. Mutabots there are... more organic than metal." She shivered, looking nauseous before shaking her head, looking back with a forced smile on her face. "I know right?! I was so surprised to find out that this device can like, transmit stuff and receive signals! Granted, I have no idea where you're coming from, but maybe that means there's a hole in the weird sphere around the planet?"

So, uh, what *static* happened on this planet?! If it's quarantined that's definitely bad news
The camera blinks on, showing Sari with a towel over her head while wearing a light orange sweater. Sari had a frown on her face as she listened to the question.
"Quarantine? Oh, you mean the thing around Earth? We don't know where the field came from," Sari admitted as she rubbed the towel over her head. "It's been there my whole life, it's why we can't send rockets out into space anymore or like, have global internet or something. As for what happened- well, Mutabots happened." She said, taking the towel off so she could start combing her red hair.
"Around like, 30? I think? 30ish years ago, some weird organization stole stuff from my dad and used it to make Mutabots. I think it was on accident, I don't know much about it." Sari said as she reached for one of her hair ties, a yellow one and starts tying up her hair into pigtails. "Bee would know, he was there but..." She hesitated as she grabbed a black hair tie for her other tail.
"He doesn't like talking about it... No one does."

Morning Routine
The usual morning routine of the Sumdac Household during the apocalypse.
Warning: Somewhat Morbid talk about decapitated heads.
======== Bumbling-Apocalypse ===============
Sari yawned, rubbing her face as she exited her room, her alarm having woken her up. She could already hear Bee going around in the kitchen and smell breakfast already cooked, her first destination for the morning.
"Morning Honeybee." Her brother called out as she made her way towards the table, setting down a plate of eggs, cooked vegetables and a glass of milk. "Sleep alright?"
"Mhm, very warm. Didn't feel cold at all." Sari yawned again, stretching her arms for a moment before she finally noticed a somewhat new addition to the kitchen counter. "Oh, morning, Meggy!" She greeted the disembodied head.
Was it weird that her brother had the head of another of his species around? Kind of, but honestly, Meggy's been around just as long Bumblebee so it made him family.
The head said nothing, because it was just a head. Sometimes though, Sari thought he was watching her and Bee. "Are you cleaning your room again?" She asked before digging into breakfast, that was one the common reasons as to why Meggy would be out of Bee's room.
The yellow alien hummed, "Yeah, I've put it off long enough. Dust has been gathering on Meg's head so he's been cranky about it." He gave the head an amused look, again, the head said nothing. The bot snorted, reaching out to pat Meggy's head. "I always tend to forget a bit more often when it's winter Megs, too busy trying to survive and take care of our lil' gremlin!"
"Hey!" Sari complained, pouting at him and Meggy. "Meggy, Bee's being mean again!"
Bee laughs and Sari beams at the sound, winter has always been Bee's worse season. He's more quiet, less outgoing, a lot more serious.
Sari knows it's not the most sane thing for her and Bee to treat the head as if he were still alive, but he was one of Bee's people. Even if he was a bad guy once, according to her big brother. She wondered sometimes, on why he would keep Meggy around if he was so horrible but then she remembers that Meggy was one of the only things that Bee had of his home.
Sometimes, during the night when she's awake and has to get a drink or go to the bathroom. She hears Bee talking to Meggy through the door, she doesn't know what Bee talks to him about most times.
"Hey Megatron, do you think I'll end up like you someday? Just a fraggin' head? Morbid thing to ask I know, but... It's a thought that I keep having sometimes... I just hope it's Sari that keeps my head around. Who knows, maybe she'll keep your ugly mug too, hah. We could even share a shelf! Wouldn't that be something?"
Sari didn't try to eavesdrop on Bee again after that. The thought of Bee ending up like Meggy is... something she doesn't want to ever think about. At all.
After breakfast, she hops down from her chair. "I'm done! And! I finished my vegetables." She replied smugly.
"Oh yeah? Even the broccoli?" Bee questioned with a small smile.
Sari made a face before reluctantly nodding, "Yeah, even those gross mini-trees." She grumbled but preened when Bee's hand settled on her head- the only time she didn't really mind having Bee ruffle her hair was in the mornings before she tied it to her usual pigtails.
"Good! It's Monday today, if the snow isn't that troublesome, I'll take you to the settlement today after I clean my room. Alright Honeybee?"
"Yes!" Sari pumped her arms in glee, "Okay! I'm gonna go shower now!" She reached her arms up so Bee could lift her up close to his face. Sari pecked his cheek and smiled at Bee, waiting, her brother snorted before adjusting so she was facing Meggy. "Have a nice morning Meggy!" She pecked his cheek too, giggling as Bee set her down.
She gave Bee an expectant look and Bee rolled his eyes in familiar exasperation, leaning over to give Meggy a peck of his own. A habit she's made him do ever since she was young. Sari beamed before going off towards the bathroom.
Sari looked back once to see Bee gathering her finished plate and utensils to put in the sink, and she swore Meggy's eyes were glowing red for a moment. She blinked and the glow was gone. Shaking her head, she focused on other things; like finishing her morning routine.
============ Bumbling-Apocalypse =============
"Such a gremlin that girl." The mini-bot complained with no heat, a smile on his derma as he started washing the dishes. It was a very domestic thing to do for an Autobot. Then again, the mini-bot was a maintenance worker, or once was one. "Making me kiss the Decepticon Leader's cheek, what a little manipulator hm? No bot would ever believe it."
Indeed, no bot would. Yet it happened, but there were no other bots around at all.
Bumblebee leaned against the sink, venting heavily. "44 years Megs. It's been 44 years. That's- that's short for our us Cybertronians I know but... I guess I'm so used to thinking of it in human terms. Still haven't found a sign of my team. And with that weird field all around the planet, no signal could ever hope to reach Cybertron of all places... I'm really starting to think I'm gonna die here, alone." He whispers that last part to himself.
Unacceptable
Bumblebee shook his helm, "Ugh, no, shouldn't think that way. It's only been 44 years. Just- half a vorn. I've made it this far. 'Sides! It's too early to think such depressing thoughts, right Megs?" He glanced over to the head, staying silent for a moment as if to hear his reply. There was none, but the mini-bot nodded anyway. "Right. Okay! Chores first, I'll go clean my room now. Dust off your shelf so you can get back there." Absentmindedly, he reached out to pat Megatron's faceplate before he left.
Oblivious to the way the decapitated helm's optics flickered for a moment, following his movement before offlining.
One day...

There is muffled static,the Mech in the transmission looks like he's trying to speak but the audio is so low quality you can't hear nothing but static,the video has the most terrible quality but the location is unknown,somehow the purple things on their chassis are the only thing bright enough to see clearly
(I wish they let anons send pictures :( )
Sari gave the screen a frustrated look, "Ugh! I can't fix the visual transmissions! Maybe I should get Bee to try and find more programming books or something..." She paused, tilting her head as she squinted.
"Yeah, that purple thing definitely looks familiar... OH!" Sari exclaimed, gasping as she seemed to remember. "I think I saw that thing in Bee's room! It was on this metal plate thing by Meggy! It's a something, something... Decryption? Inception? Mm, I'd ask Bee, but he's busy making sure our home's warm for the night. There's a snowstorm happening."
Sari yawned, "Speaking of night, I think I should go to bed. Good night everyone! Or well, good whatever time it is over there." She waved at the camera before the screen turns to black.

Hello I'm the traveling Anon!!!! I travel to other planets, universes and dimensions, if I saw correctly from one your past post the apocalypse is happening here? And I was wondering if you needed help with anything, because I will help if needed.
[the traveling Anon]
The screen fizzles to life, a disgruntled and pouting Sari is seen. "Ugh, some of the audio was corrupted, I didn't catch that first half, sorry." She apologized, sighing as she fiddling with something hinged and yellow. "I'll try to get that fixed somehow..."
"'The apocalypse is happening here?'" She repeated and nodded, "Yeah, well, it's mostly kind of passed? It's been a couple of years since most of it just sort of... ended." Her expression darkens and there's grief in her eyes before she shook her head. "Kind of. Tons of Mutabots are still around but at least no one's being absorbed and stuff. Just... well, they just die regularly now."
She's quiet for a moment, looking down to what she was fiddling with. "I appreciate the offer, but unless you can somehow get past the weird force-field thing around the Earth, I don't think you can come here." Sari gave the screen a reassuring smile. "It's okay though! We've managed this far!"
[DIMENSIONAL LOCK IN PLAY. OUTSIDERS TO THIS DIMENSION ARE NOT PHYSICALLY WELCOMED FOR THE MOMENT.]
{Love the enthusiasm, but we're not playing with dimensional travelers just yet here. Don't want to make things that easy for Sari and Bee, we've only just begun after all :) - Mod Transmit}

Big Brother Bee
Sari carefully hid the weird, camera-like device after making sure it was muted. She still didn't get why Bee was so paranoid about its weirdness and transmission stuff, it wasn't like it was transmitting somewhere on Earth and hey- maybe his friends could find the transmissions and find Bee! Wasn't that what he wanted?
After hiding it, she raced towards the entrance of their home as she heard the familiar footsteps from her big brother. "You're back!" She crowed as she spotted the pale yellow robot.
Said bot was brushing off what little snow was left from his cloak. "I'm back!" Bee exclaimed back, scuffed battle mask snapping open to show the wide grin underneath. The discolored metal of his face used to be jarring to Sari, but now it was simply familiar even though guilt haunted her at the sight of it.
It was just another scar on Bee's body that Sari couldn't really help with no matter how much she tried. Not right now anyway, but she'll find a way. She was a Sumdac after all!
"Why'd you go out? We were done foraging for today." Sari asked jumping to grab her brother's larger hand in hers. Acutely aware of the two missing fingers from his left hand. She'll fix that, she will.
Bee hummed, "Felt jumpy today, decided to do an extra patrol over the area. Checked in on Dottie, she's fine as ever. Met Fanzone on the way back too, looks like there's going to be a snowstorm tonight so I'll be cranking up the heater." He let her drag him further into their home, the mineshaft's hallway lights guiding them towards their main living space.
Underneath the lights of the mine, Sari looked over her brother's painted body. "You need a new layer of paint." She told him, frowning at how pale the color was, as well as the new scuff marks and such. She was even seeing some scratched patches of silver!
"Mm, when we have time maybe. And the paint, pretty sure we're running low on it." Bee replied with a yawn, collapsing face-first on their giant beanbag of a couch.
Sari climbed in after him, settling on his shoulders, knowing he wouldn't mind if she sat there. "Raf might have some extra, I think I can haggle some paint out of him if I promise him a few spare parts from our Mutabot haul."
"Sounds great Honeybee, just remember to leave spare parts for us to use. Don't want to end up without them again like last time... I'm gonna take a nap for a bit. Wake me up after like, an hour, alright?" Bee murmured quietly.
Sari frowned and patted her brother's head, careful to avoid his broken horns. She'll fix that too. She was Sari Sumdac! Her father was Isaac Sumdac! She'll fix things, make things better for her brother! Her family!
"Sleep well Bee."
Hey eyes went towards her brother's missing fingers, her own digits clenching before she carefully climbed down from Bee's shoulders and the beanbag couch to head towards her little lab area.

How did you meet Bumblebee?
-🚧🥽
Sari beamed at this transmission question, "I've known Bee my whole life! He's my big brother!" She exclaimed with cheer. "He's so cool! If a bit overprotective sometimes, but hey! It's understandable, it's the apocalypse or whatever."
She pouted, looking away for a moment. "Still wished he'd let me help more often. I'm 13 now! I can handle stuff!" She perked, seeming to hear something.
"Speaking of big brothers- I think he's back! Okay, I'm going to mute this device but still have it receive transmissions. Don't want Bee to know about this just yet, he was so iffy and paranoid about it." She said, fiddling with the camera off screen before waving at the screen.
"I'll see you in a bit!"
The screen turns black.

Just stopping by to say hi !hah I rhymed it-
Your wasting our time!
The transmission ends

Sari squinted, "I'm sorry, the visual transmission isn't working that great- it's mostly static but I think I saw your silhouettes? I can hear you just fine though!" She tilted her head with a thoughtful look. "I swear, I thought I saw something familiar there..."
The girl waved her hand, smiling at the camera. "But hello! You're the first ones to have back-to-back transmissions! I still can't figure out where you're sending these from."
Tumblr media
Sari nodded, "Of course! We live in Detroit! Or well, what's left of it. There's tons of settlements around the city, there's even one nearby that's pretty friendly with Bee and I. I've got a couple of friends from there too!"
{I'll admit, I struggled what to call you in the tags, so I've settled for Collision and Safetygoggles respectively. Please feel free to correct me - Mod Transmit}

What's a "Mutabot"? I'm unfamiliar with that designation.
Sari hummed, "Definitely not transmitting to anywhere on Earth. You'd know what a Mutabot is if you did! Interesting..." She said, scribbling into a notebook.
"Anyway, Mutabots are mutant robots. Or 'mutated robotic organisms'" She quoted before shrugging, "But most people I know call 'em Mutabots. They're half the reason why Earth isn't like it's used to."
Sari quietens, her expression saddening. She seemed hesitant before she shook her head, checking something offscreen. "Oh! More transmissions! Hm, they're from the same place! Not that I even know where, I still can't trace it but for some reason they're showing the same signatures. Cool!"

The voice of the person is slightly distorted and static
"Ahem,what do you usually eat? I really hope your brother at least cooks what you two hunted"
There is a loud BOOM CRASH SHAKALAKA sound and the recording ends
The camera blinks to life, a frantic-looking but excited Sari smiling widely at the camera- her visor is gone, revealing her dark brown eyes that brightened at the screen. "A transmission! Hi! Hello! Also shh!" She whisper-yells at the camera. "That was- pretty loud, I should probably tone down the volume with this thing. Thankfully, Bee didn't hear the racket since he went out again."
She fiddles with something offscreen to the camera, but looks directly at it. "Um, since it's winter, it's deer or maybe even fish if the ice isn't as frozen. On the very rare occasion, we might get some pheasants or like, even a turkey! Also duh!" Her eyes roll, "Bee may be a giant alien robot, but he's been around for a long while now! He knows to cook whatever we hunt."
"Hm, what was that loud noise at the end there? Hopefully everything's alright..." She trailed off, frowning. "Strange, I can't track where this message came from... And you don't sound like Bee's friends either..."
Sari gave the camera a look of disappointment before shaking her head. Excitement back on her face. "Still! This is so cool! Someone's getting this, and someone can transmit stuff back! Gosh, this is so exciting!"

Awaiting Transmission...
The screen blinks before Sari's face returns, her upper face still covered by a blue visor but there were some flecks of red on it and her face. She was pouting. Behind her was a nondescript wall.
"Aw, nothing yet? Hm, well it has just been a few hours. So I guess that's fine!" Absentmindedly, she wipes the droplets of red liquid off her face with her gloved hands. "I'll just keep sending out these transmissions until someone shows up!" She grins at the camera, setting it somewhere and stepping back.
She wore a thick, orange and yellow parka with equally thick pants and black snow shoes. The hood of the parka was down, a suspicious red blotch was staining the fur collar.
"Alright, I know I said it before, but hello! Whoever's watching this! My name's Sari! I'm currently thirteen years old and I live with my big brother Bumblebee." She introduced, smiling widely. "He's the coolest! He takes care of me and keeps me safe! Sometimes too safe though, I mean, I get it and all but I kind of wish he'd let me do more y'know?" She sighs with frustration, hands on her hips.
"At least he's been taking me more on his hunts! He still won't let me skin and prepare the stuff we get. Just makes me forage for stuff or like, scavenge downed Mutabots! It's not fair!" Sari whined, crossing her arms. "I bet the other kids get to do it! Hmph, stupid Bee..."
Her pout softens and she sighs, "I just want to help him..."
For a moment she's silent before she steps back towards the camera, picking it up. "Whoever gets this transmission... I hope you're Bee's friends, the guys he talks about from time to time. I know all about you y'know? I know your names. Optimus Prime, Bulkhead, Ratchet, Prowl... He misses you guys."
Sari adjusted the camera, a smile back on her face. "And I wanna meet you all too! So, if it's you guys watching this, then please! Transmit something back! Let Bee know you're all okay!"
A voice comes from the distance, "Sari! Dinner's ready!"
Sari looked away from the camera, "Coming!" She looks back, "I have to go. Bye!"
The screen turns black.

Transmission Start!
The screen lights up to show a very young teenager's lower face, sticking her tongue out at the camera in concentration, trying to set it up, her face obscured. Not fully shown. The screen keeps moving until it stops and she steps back with clear satisfaction on her face which is now fully shown.
Her skin was an even brown color, her hair was dark red and put up in short twin tails, though half her face was covered by a dark blue visor, covering her eyes.
"Hello! My name is Sari Honeybee Sumdac! I found this weird device among my dad's old stuff! It seems to be transmitting somewhere we have no idea where! It's not connected to Earth whatsoever, and I am dying to know where this goes or who this reaches! Please! Reply to this transmission before my overprotective brother finds out!"
Off screen, a voice calls out and she jumps, quickly covering the screen with her gloved hands. "Sari? Sari! We need to go hunting! Come on!"
"Coming Bee!" Her fingers part and she shoots the screen a cheeky grin, "I'll be waiting!" The screen blacks out.
{Decided to repost this as a separate post, as an official start to the blog since I know I'll be changing the pinned post's summary at some point! - Transmit}
