Princess Tutu

  Princess Tutu is an anime made in 2002 by Ikuko Itoh. It features 4 main characters; Duck (Princess Tutu,) Rue (Princess Kraehe,) Fakir, and Mythos. Duck is a magical girl who must save Mythos and give him back all his heart shards so he can get feelings again. She gets his heart shards back by doing magical ballet. One thing though, Duck is in love with Mythos but she can’t tell him that she loves him or she’d turn in to dust and die. She also lives a double life being that she is a clumsy duck but also mythical Princess Tutu. She turns into Princess Tutu by the amulet around his neck. But not only does she live a double life but she lives a TRIPLE life. Being that she turns to a duck whenever she is frightened or she doesn’t have her amulet on. Will she able to save Mythos with all these setbacks? 

  I first watched Princess Tutu when I was just a young kid. Maybe 6 or 7??? I consider it one of my first anime and was one of them that got me into the anime. I love it a lot! I adore it. Not many get hooked to it because the beginning is like just a normal kid, magical girl anime but after, maybe, around episode 13 shit get SERIOUS. It has a major plot twist and that’s what gets me hooked. It’s a good story filled with many unexpected twist and turns and ships you didn’t expect. Without spoiling too much I wanna say it gets very intensive after a while and some sad deaths in it. It’s emotional and heart-warming. It’s a good anime to binge watch and has two seasons (season two is very hard to find though!!! If you have a link to season 2 please send it to me! I'd be very appreciated.) It has beautiful animation and such emotional dancing. But all in all. It’s an anime I 100% recommend and I give it a 9/10. I only give it a 9 because of the beginning that causes many people to be misleading and makes people not wanna watch it. It does get better though so please watch. OWO
