“Right, of course.” Amir nodded.
It was a pretty common answer, often followed by ‘actually, I won’t buy anything’ as they look closer at books. He hoped it wouldn’t be the case now but he held his hoped down. There was more important things happening.
“Well, if you need me for anything, I’ll be around.” He said before starting his walk to the back. “Once I dropped this one off…”
It'd been a few months since the attack at the Library, and Andrew decided to finally have a break of some kind. Sure he wasn't injured and everyone was fine, but that didn't mean things didn't change, and not entirely for the better in his opinion.
So that's how Andrew found himself outside a bookshop, one that one of Casey's friends recommended. He opened the door and walked in, glancing around as he did.

Amir was the only worker currently in the shop. He had sent out Emil a bit earlier to take his break while there was still a tiny amount of sun outside.
“Welcome in, can I help you?” He said without a hint of hesitation. He had stopped in the middle of the shop, meant to walk towards the back. He held a grumpy looking kitten that he had just managed to get down from one of the shelves. The 12 minutes, 50 seconds he tried to get him down luckily unnoticed by anyone.

So… Amir can’t get any information about a weird guy (maybe stalker?) but we think they’re the one that broke in earlier…
I’ll update when we have more information or when Amir finally snaps 🫡

Not sure. I was upstairs, heard something downstairs. but by the time I got downstairs whatever had gotten inside was out, door closed, hole in the window.
Not sure who, the old guy thinks security cameras and alarms are unnecessary…
Of course the shop got broken into just hours after Amir left 🫠 - Emil

“We’ll come back, don’t you worry.” Morrison went straight towards a wall. Amelie might be able to find them if faer really wanted to… maybe.
“There’s other cats you could meet! Do you want that?” With that they had entered the maze.
According to Morrison, it had been far too long since it last saw Amelie. It missed them a bit. So, without thinking too much more about it, Morrison made its way to the flat.
It was easy, finding places they had been at before. So it didn’t take long for Morrison to locate it and stick its head out from the wall, hoping Amelie wouldn’t notice directly.
(( @bunchofavatars ))
They've been napping,Willard being hugged like a plushie. But there's also a small calico kitten snoozing inside of faer hair, one it hasn't seen before.

Morrison just pulled Telemachus a bit closer.
“It’s fine, aw aren’t you adorable.” It scratched the kitten a bit. “Want an adventure?”

Morrison gasped once it saw the kitten. New target seen.
It tried to stay quiet as it walked towards Amelie. Not sure how easy they could wake up. Once Morrison was close enough it grabbed and lifted the new kitten up.
“Hello” it whispered.

Amir raised an eyebrow. He didn’t have many avatar friends, or simply avatars he talked to often. But the few he did have had never stated they were surprised about it. Most of the time the response was simply ‘makes sense.’
But the situations was rather different from now.
“Always? No, I think one of my parents would have to be a servant for that… Neither were one…” The last part added a bit more quietly. Before speaking again in his normal tone. “No, I became while I was studying in university. Sometimes felt like cheating though.”
Ever since Erika had heard about Kieran meeting with Amir, she'd been meaning to find time to go visit the bookshop he owned, it only took a few months but now she had some free time. She didn't exactly know where it was in London but she found it eventually.
She hesitantly walked inside, closing the door behind her once she entered.
"Hello? Anyone here?" @researchercase
The shop seemed empty at first. Until a cat let out a very long and loud meow, running past Erika with way too much speed for such a tiny creature. He ran straight towards a door that lead to the back, making sure to be as loud as possible.
Not long after there was a sound of something heavy falling to the floor, followed by a loud ow. A displeased hiss from a cat sitting somewhere Erika couldn’t see.
“I’ll be there in a minute!” Amir yelled out from the back. Followed by a “No, stop it, go upstairs.” which was probably directed to the cat.

“It’s nice to meet you too.” He said with a small smile.
“I was wondering if you would ever become a servant.” He continued. “Of course I thought it would be the beholding once you started at the institute. Which didn’t make much sense considering that the Vast always seemed to follow you. Glad to see that not everyone falls into the Eye despite working there.”
Perhaps he should have preferred only Eye avatars coming out of that building. Would this count as insulting the entity he picked? If so he probably should find some food for it…

“He’s fun!” Morrison grinned. Though their idea of ‘fun’ could be a bit… odd.
“The Eye won’t show him the way out of the maze! So sometimes he just wanders around for hours getting more irritated. It’s not actual food but still! My other friends-“ well, ‘friends’ might be a strong word. “- just enjoy it! No fear or bad feelings.” Morrison pouted.
There’s sudden footsteps in whatever room Amelie was in. If there was any uncertainty about who was there, it wouldn’t last for too long.
“Oh Ame~” Morrison said as a greeting, dragging out the last letter.
( @bunchofavatars )
"Hiya, Morrison!¡ I'd come and greet you,but my cats are laying on me."
They call out from its room. Willard and Telemachus are both curled up next to it.

“Emil says it’s his thing. I thought it was latin! That’s a fun language…”

“Amir did!” Morrison smiled.
“Well, Emil said the name is Shadow, but Amir didn’t like that name.” Morrison giggled. “Emil said it’s for the naming theme.”

“Hey, it’s alright.” He moved forward a bit.
“From my understanding, those who you’re close to remember who you are. They remember and they love you, that’s the important part, right?”

You met Kieran Woods, fiancé to your previous student Erika Grey.
Fuck.
“Erika Grey?” He asked in a soft tone that didn’t feel fully right. Said in a way that was only really used whenever an overwhelmed student came up to him or whenever Emil seemed nervous. It had been more common before she-
Could Amir be sure that it was Erika? She had been taken by Not Them at one point after all. The one he remembered looked nothing like the person in front of him now. Well, except for the few times over the past months when the Eye felt helpful.
