Any photo from this era = TINGLES. Every single time!
I'll never become conditioned to seeing pictures of Brendon ...from any era really, but Too Weird-DOAB seems to tickle me like no other!!

Whoa!! I LOVE those lines!
And (only now that I know of course) the second half doesn't really sound like Ryan.
a couple people have messaged asking about my mention of Pete Wentz's AFYCSO lyrics in my previous post, so yes: fans already knew in August 2005 that Pete helped with lyrics on AFYCSO and they were trying to figure out which lines sounded the most like him. On August 16th Pete answered a question on FOB's Q&A that asked if "I aim to be your eyes, trophy boys, trophy wives" was a line he wrote in the new P!ATD song and Pete replied "that would be indeed."

Love finding these random bits & pieces of the past.

the surprise acoustic performance from P!ATD
Panic! at the Disco had so few appearances in the first half of 2007 that it was ridiculously exciting to see them randomly show up at the Vegas show in the 2007 Honda Civic Tour where Fall Out Boy was headlining and +44 was a support band. Here’s an excerpt of a blog entry from Mark Hoppus called “Mark! at the Disco” that he wrote about the June 24th show in Vegas:
today i woke up on the bus in las vegas to a call letting me know that something pretty serious happened late last night after the show in los angeles. in the middle of the night one our members had a very serious family emergency. thank God everyone is okay, but subsequently +44 was not able to play the show today. everyone was bummed we missed the date, but the immediate health of our families supercedes a show anytime.
…to fill the empty slot in the show, ryan and brendon from panique a la discotech were called to come out and play a few songs acoustically. we were all hanging out backstage talking beforehand, and i mentioned that i heard panic at the disco had started off as a blink-182 cover band back in the day. somehow we hit on the idea of getting together and playing a blink song. we rehearsed what’s my age again a couple of times in a dressing room and then played it during the show. the guys were really cool and it was super fun playing the song. it’s a little strange to meet a couple of guys and within two hours be playing in front of a couple thousand people with them. but hey, that’s what we do: bring the awesome every single day, in every single way.

I pulled some of these pics from Mark’s blog post where he gave credit to Chris Holmes for taking them. Here’s a tag for more pics from this event and then here’s a playlist with some videos that are left.
The Academy Is was another opening band on this tour. Adam T. Siska’s post on FOE (and TAI’s buzznet journal) mentioned:
“Last night we played the only club show on the HCT at the Pearl in Las Vegas. Unfortuantely +44 was unable to play due to personal reasons, however our good friends in Panic! at the Disco were able to fill in and play a few acoustic songs as well as a cover of Whats My Age Again? with Mark Hoppus. It was good to see those guys… it took me back to the Truckstops and Statelines Tour… good times..”
Ryan also came onstage at this show to do his solo with FOB! Also kind of related… Jon Walker had joined Fall Out Boy onstage at their June 11th show of this tour in Chicago a couple weeks earlier.

This validates for me as to why DOAB is the one that got the GRAMMY (even while nominated against artists I didn't think he could surpass to be honest - but it just goes to show hey!... how could have doubted him
Best album AND best rock song that year. I remember watching him get honoured by Billboard aswell in Vegas that year and he was given a key the the city .... the key to VEGAS haha,
super cool!
and omg he was
super dooper cute.... you know when he's real nervous and he stands kinda stiff. It was adorable. But he deserved every unbelievably awesome word that was read out about him. I only wish more people were audience to it (as I don't think it was broadcast
Whatever. Anyway.
Brendon = wins all in my world.
I think most people (if they could get out of their own ego's way) would have to admit that we shouldn't ever really completely count Brendon out ..:no matter what!!
Especially because it's obvious he'll always even work harder if his reason for something is to prove them wrong.
IMO anyway.
...and I don't care about yours anymore unless it's pro-Urie. 😝

I have genuine concern about the generation growing up online at the moment that can't have any of their own opinions because they're being seen 24/7 these days. With life constantly being documented, how will they have the space to breathe and make mistakes so they can learn lessons & grow up?
Instead, we're just getting cloned facades of whatever the current politically correct climate dictates (which, news flash - grows and changes constantly, kids)
So just be ware... something YOU may say today or tomorrow, will be outrageously outside the parameters of what's acceptable right now, and you too could be judged like Brendon has been.
So stfu and stop the hate train... or at least gather some contextual evidence before you continue judging & poo-poo'ing people for events you wouldn't have otherwise been aware of had you not helped fan the flames of the wildfire of weightless accusations slung at him... causing his supposed "cancellation".
Cause guess what. HE'LL BE BACK.
And if you wanna have a fight, you'd better throw the first punch, make it a good one.

I just read this... it's super deep!!!
*just to be clear, I did not write this & don't know who did - however I do commend their work!
Also, whether they are correct or not is anyone's guess but if they are... wow. What more can I say? Now Panic! is even more brilliant in my eyes. Something I didn't know could be possible.
