I genuinely believe that Sebastian finds Sullivan funny and there's an aesthetic reason for that, she reminds me of a black cat with green eyes with that hair and I know it was supposed to look like horns, but everything about her reminds me of a cat and she has a perfect balance between a serious personality and a funny personality, there's also this thing about him thinking that she's a witch and most witches have had connections with demons, maybe that makes him more interested in her nature since at the time the anime takes place there must have been few witches alive.

there is literally nothing more adorable to me than these two teaching each other their languages. sieglinde knows enough english to get her by–i wouldn’t exactly say that she’s completely fluent at it yet, but still in the process of learning. and we all know our!ciel and his relationship with the german language–knows the common phrases, but his accent and pronunciation is absolutely horrible to the point where sieglinde has labelled it as offensive. AND while the traditional teaching of learning a language (memorising, writing down notes for grammar) is good and all, sieglinde insists that they write letters in the respective language that they’re learning. sieglinde writes in english, and our!ciel in german. and they both try to correct it. it’s funny, really, but it’s admittedly more fun than just memorising and remembering words.

but their letters–they’re so sweet. ciel tries to be formal and sieglinde just writes whatever. sieglinde’s “dearest, darling, ciel–good friend of mine” and our!ciel’s “charmante Sieglinde”/charming sieglinde. it’s so cute. also ciel tries to show off by writing long run-on sentences as he tries to make a german sentence sound poetic because he’s just… pretentious like that. in return, sieglinde does the same–taken inspiration from the greatest english writers, of course.
