Killer from the QotD book R-ing Claudia is the worst thing I have ever typed out in my life WHY was this placed in this story?! WTF was the point of that?! And That’s a “cameo”? That’s just shit writing. Anne Rice has lots of triggering stuff like that in her books but NEVER did that happen to Claudia of all characters.

I was expecting them to fight but the way it was done and the things that were said—is what I have a problem with. It wasn’t a vampire fight it was full blown domestic abuse that Lestat has never done to Louis. They placed scenes and characters and plot devices that weren’t necessary. Basically they took Louis and Lestat who are already in an abusive relationship in the book and tried to amplify it for the *drama* just like Claudia’s story got “amplified” so it can be more “tragic.” Fuck that writing.

Also Sam Reid fucking wanted a Trigger Warning placed on this episode WHY DID NO ONE LISTEN TO HIM?!

Loved episode 1-4 but fuck this episode.

this has me wanting to chew on glass like. we don’t even know if what we’re seeing is actually who lestat is because we’re only seeing him through louis’ eyes and his current interpretation of lestat! like we have him on tape with a completely different portrayal and now he says it’s the nuanced one, but we still don’t know if he’s remembering or presenting everything correctly! it’s about the reconstruction of memory and reinterpreting your past to fit your present view!

Lestat es super protector con aquellos que ama, creo que ese es su nucleo, amor y protección. Pero no sabe amar de otra forma que no sea la suya, encerrando a Louis y Claudia en una caja de la que no pueden salir, que no cometan los errores que el cometio y en especifico, que no sufran con otros vampiros como el lo hizo.

Puede ser abusivo pero bajo su visión es una forma de proteger a Louis de alguien peor que el.

I randomly remembered that I heard people say that in later books lestat raped (????) someone and now people are saying that it's ooc for him to fight louis the way he did ?????? like ???????? yes, lestat was traumatised when he was young but it doesn't mean he can't be an abuser himself ?????? and I heard about other fucked up shit he did in the books and he did fucked up shit in the show as well and yet somehow that fight was the worst one for you ???? yes, you can be triggered, yes, they probably should've used a tw, but pretending lestat is a good guy who suddenly gone bad ?????????
