NEWS: A Black Jack Nendoroid has been revealed during Goodsmile's Nendoroid FUNS stream today. There's no news as to when the figure will be released yet, but I'd guess it'll have a late 2025 or early 2026 release. I'll update this post when actual pictures of the figure are revealed.

NEWS: Two new Kimekomi dolls of Astro and Black Jack have been released. These two dolls are limited edition and were made exclusively for the Pasona Natureverse pavilion in Osaka. Since these are handmade and made of such intricate materials, they're expensive. They cost 49,500 yen, or 345$ USD each.

Have you seen a Hyotantsugi piggy bank?

Yes, I have. There's a ceramic one made by Shin and Company. I'm not sure of the manufacturing date, but I'm assuming it's early to mid 1990's based on the style of the box. There's a few for sale on Mercari right now, and they sell for about 20-40$ USD.

The Birth of Neo Atom (The Birth of Neo Astro Boy) short film at Expo 2025

The full short film "The Birth of Neo Atom", which is being shown at Pasona Natureverse in Osaka for Expo 2025 (a world expo), has surfaced online, along with parts of an additional shorter film called The Natureverse Show which can be seen at the 6:35 mark in the second video (Pavilion Tour).

Both short films feature Atom (along with Neo Atom), and Black Jack. Dr. Ochanomizu also makes an appearance in "The Birth of Neo Atom".

Pasona Natureverse, along with Expo 2025, is running from April 13, 2025 to October 13, 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

NEWS: The third addition to the Osamu Tezuka character sofubi collection has been revealed. A figure of Tyrol (Baby Phoenix) from Phoenix: Early works is currently in production. It's set to be released in Japan sometime in August.
