Burger Review: Joanie’s Blue Crab Cafe (5/10) - I learned my lesson of a burger at a seafood place long ago but this was the only food within 40 miles so oh well. It was survivable but I’ll definitely plan any future trips across southern Florida on 41 to avoid meal time or pack a lunch.

Burger review: Seaside Grill @ Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale (8/10) - surprisingly good burger with a great beach view. The battered fries were really tasty. Pass on the chocolate cake though - not worth it.

Rodeo Goat, Dallas TX (8/10) — Really good burger and chocolate shake. The fries are pretty greasy so I’d skip those unless you’re into that sort of thing.

Burger review, Flying Dog Tap House @ BWI Airport (6/10) - yeah, it’s an airport burger so I didn’t have high hopes going in. Interesting environment doesn’t make up for just a passable burger. The bun sucks the moisture right out of your mouth. The patty is ok so maybe go for a bun-less hamburger steak instead.

Windward Bar & Grille, Clearwater FL (7/10) - tasty burger cooked correctly to a nice pink (meaning they actually know what medium means). Lightly battered fries works well. If you’re going to visit the Clearwater Aquarium and the famous dolphin Winter (from the Dolphin Tale movies) this is a good spot for lunch.

Burger review: The Grape, Dallas TX (7/10)
Only place I've ever heard of with an off menu special of their burger. Custom bun from nearby bakery, fries that take 48 hours to make and a special mix of beef for the burger. Definitely more for the fancy burger lover (lots of exotic stuff included normally). Great tasting burger - with all that effort on the ingredients, you'd expect it to be cooked properly but that's what made it a 7 instead of an 8.

Burger review: Junkanoo, Ft Myers, FL (9/10) Total surprise from this beach side restaurant. Amazing burger, perfectly cooked with good fries (only thing that could be better). The beach/sunset view seals the deal.

Burger review: Thirsty Lion Gastropub in Denver, CO (8/10) Very tasty burger in downtown Denver. Lite bun let's you focus on the great burger flavor. Good home cut fries that weren't greasy like many of that style.

Burger review: Buckhorn Tavern in San Antonio, NM (9/10) - Wow, what a surprise in the middle of nowhere. This burger was excellent. Nice and tender with great flavor. The Buckhorn is across the street from the famous Owl Bar & Cafe -- poke your head in over there to see the cool historical trinkets but make sure to eat at the Buckhorn.

Burger review - St Regis in Paris (6/10) Across the bridge from Notre Dame cathedral. A great view sitting out in the cafe didn't make up for just an ok burger. Passable meal.

Burger review - La Fregate on La Siene, Paris (8/10). Great view of the Louvre. Ordered the burger well done which is the same as medium in the US (the gentleman next to me had a plate of raw ground beef tartar). Different but pleasing flavor (not the usual grass or corn fed beef flavor in the US). Nice pomme frites to go with it.

Burger review - The Eating Establishment in Park City, UT (7/10) Good flavor on a big burger (1/2 pound). The bun was a little dry and it's always frustrating to ask for medium and get closer to well done. The fries were tasty. Someone else in the group had the chili burger and loved it.

Burger Review - Tom & Eddie's in Naperville, IL (7/10) Tasty, tender burger in a very noisy environment. Chips don't have much flavor and the chocolate shake was a bit bland. Overall good but not great

Burger review - The Bubble Room in Captiva, FL (4/10) Just don't do it. Order anything else on the menu (our party enjoyed everything else). An over priced burger, cooked to a crisp, with no fries or chips (those pictured were snagged from another meal). The bun is massive and tasteless. This is a clear burger violation and should be removed from the menu.

Burger Review: Red Lobster in Houston, TX (2/10) Yes it's a fish place but when they highlight their new 'wood fire burger' I have to try it. Wow was that a mistake. No burger should ever be crunchy. Not ever. I suspect they cook on their new grill by using burgers as the charcoal for cooking fish and chicken. This was a terrible experience even before the waiter dropped a hot plate and launched shrimp sauce all over our party. Now I like Red Lobster (for chicken) but this was by far the worst service and food I've ever had at one.

Burger Review: Two Brothers Brewing Company in Aurora, IL (7/10) Good, tasty burger but the fries were the weak link. Soggy, greasy fries just don't cut it (substitute something else). The appetizer pretzels are worth having too.
