Easey’s Price $$ Rating ** All aboard the burger train
It’s an exciting sight to see a train 5 storeys up on top of a building roof. The venue is spray painted in graffiti and the inside décor matches the train theme with the menu printed like a train timetable. You’re spoiled for choice as the menu has a large range of options of burgers, hot dogs and sides as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. If you require vegetarian or vegan alternatives to the meat, or want a gluten free bun then you will need to pay an extra $3 respectively. The train theme of the venue carries through from start to finish. The staff are friendly and the service is relatively quick considering how busy they can get at night. I would definitely recommend Easey’s, it’s a unique experience, the venue is different and the food will with have your mouth watering.

St Burgs. Maribyrnong Price-$$ Rating ** St Burgs. A heaven sent
A take on American, Western style burgers takes Melbourne by storm. Located in Maribyrnong, This burger shop calls customers with a big appetite. A simple but clean shop front is inviting accompanied by delicious food and friendly staff. They do not offer a large range on their menu but what they do, they do well. From a simple burger called ‘The Durger’, to a flash burger filled with crab, there’s bound to be something that interests your taste buds. Burgers are a staple on the menu, but chicken wings and loaded fries are offered and even a choice milkshakes and soft drink to wash your burger down.Prices are very reasonable and the service is of high quality as well. Grill’d – Price $$ – Rating ** Grill me some of those burgers
Grill’d have over 125 restaurants around Australia with the first one opened in Hawthorn in 2004 by Simon Crowe. Grill’d has a wide selection of burgers ranging from beef, wagyu, pork belly, chicken, lamb, they also have veggie burgers and also you can build your own burger which is good if you are looking at making your own burger.
Grill’d highpoint is one of my go to places for a burger when going to highpoint, with such a wide variety it is hard to choose but I always go back to my favourite burger the Mustard and Pickled because I just love my pickles but I add bacon to my burger as well. The fries here are also good if you enjoy the thick cut chips, with their seasoning and choices of dipping sauces it makes a great combination. Grill’d also do a deal where if you are looking at going to watch a movie across at Hoyts, they will do a burger and movie ticket deal, so if you’re looking at getting a bite before the movie then you have to come to this place.

Ziggys – Balaclava – Price $$ – Rating ** Ziggy Stardust and the burgers from Balaclava
Ziggys eatery has two locations one in South Melbourne and one in Balaclava. Here at Ziggys they use 100% Australian products in there burgers, the eating areas at Ziggys are quite small, but on a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy the views of the main street on a nice summer day.
Picture sourced from: Zomato
What makes Ziggy's stand out to other burger places is their sauce that they use in their burgers, it’s called Ziggys sauce, I don’t know what’s in the sauce but it changes the experience of having a burger and that is why for me this place stands out more than most places.

Ribs and Burgers – Northcote – Price $$ – Rating *** More than just burgers
Operating out of Northcote shopping centre, Ribs and Burgers currently have 17 restaurants within Australia and one in South Africa and also in the United Kingdom. Here you can order anything from Burgers, Ribs Fish and Salads and a variety of beverages.
Picture sourced from: Zomato
When going to Ribs and Burgers I order the Bacon n Cheese, it’s a bit more expensive than the others but it’s my favourite, as it has everything that I enjoy in a burger, just a little heads up most of the burgers here have pickles in the burgers. Also when ordering one of these delicious burgers don’t forget to grab yourself a Milo thick shake.

Laurie Dees - Price $$ – Rating * D for delicious
My sister took me to try out these burgers and before leaving I read up previous reviews about this burger place and read that it had won best burger in 2014 and 2015, so after reading this I was really excited to try it out. We headed out to pacific Epping where the store is located, when we arrived, we looked at the menu and it had a small range of burgers, not as big of a range than other places for burgers but it did have hot dogs, grilled sandwiches and salads.
That day I was quite hungry and decide to other the bacon and cheddar with an extra patty, which only cost $11.95, which I see as being pretty cheap for a double patty burger.
When I received my burger, I took my first bite and to be honest I didn’t like it, it was the patty that they were using, it tasted like it had too much mince in it and looked like it was going to fall apart, also not that quite big, one of the smallest burgers I have seen.
If I had to recommend this burger to someone, I would probably tell them to try somewhere else before I recommend this place, the one saving grace was their dessert, very good and the only reason I would come back to this place.

Burger Business – Price $$ – Rating ** Taking care of burgers
My friend from golf introduced me to this burger place and im glad that he did, located in Footscray next to VU Nicholson campus. Burger business has a classic range of burgers and it’s not that expensive either compared to other places, the bacon in the burgers is what stands out as they use smokey bacon.
You can enjoy your burger with a wide selection of beverages from beer, wine, ginger ale, shakes and soft drinks.
Monthly they change their specials and this time around they had a burger called the reaper, which consists of triple beef, triple cheese, mustard, ketchup and pickles, so if you want something a bit larger after finishing a long study session, then this is what you want.

Dribbles – Price $$ – Rating ** Pass me some of those burgers
Dribbles are located in Essendon, as the name of the burger place suggests it has a basketball theme to it, from its names of burgers to the décor inside.
If you are a basketball fan then you would recognise most of the burger names, from the Jordan Royale, the Birdman which is a fried chicken burger, the little dribbler which is their smallest burger but my favourite here is the Shaq Stack, with double beef, double cheese and double bacon, with such a large basketball player you need a large burger.
Pictures sourced from: Zomato
The prices of these burgers range from the little dribbler at $10.50 to the Shaq Stack at $17. Prices here are well priced considering you have demmazi’s next door.
If you are a basketball fan, I would recommend coming down here when the season begins to watch a game and enjoy a nice burger.

Charlie & Co Burgers– Price $$$ Rating *** Charlie & the burger factory
The story of Charlie & Co Burgers started as meatballs between two slices of bread and later it became the hamburgers of this burger joint.
Charlie & Co Burgers looks kind of similar to the McDonalds burgers and are a bit overpriced for their size. As you can see from their menu they only offer 9 different burgers from between 10.90 AUD to 17.90 AUD which for most people are quite a lot for a burger of this size.
The prices are for burgers only so if you want fries with your meal, it’ll cost you at least 4.90 AUD extra. That’s almost 20 AUD for something that you can somewhere else for a cheaper price.
Although the prices and the burger size may not appeal to some people, their restaurant and dining area are pretty sophisticated and classy. As you can see this is a place where you can just hang out and chill with your friends or family while eating their burgers.
Pictures sourced from: Charlie and Co
I’d probably not recommend this place because of their prices and size, but if you’re a well-paid person and want to enjoy a hamburger at a nice place, then this would be something for you.

L.A Burgers – Price $$ - Rating *** United States of Burgers
Are you an American and missing the States or do you just want to try American food while you’re in Australia? L.A. Burgers is the place for you to go then! It’s a burger with the taste of the States where the burgers contain some American ingredients.
While L.A. Burgers is still pretty new in Melbourne, they still remain competitive enough with their burger size, pricing and supplies.
Pictures sourced from: L.A Burgers
They are probably worth checking out if you’re a burger enthusiast otherwise I would say that there are many other places to get burgers.

Benny Burger - Price $$$ - Rating ** Fun bun
While there are many burger firms out there, Benny Burger is probably the one that stands out a little bit with their creativity. The burgers at Benny Burger is called for “ethical burgers” and you could probably see why from their menu.
With different names and images for each burger, Benny Burger have made their own original special types.
Pictures sourced from: Benny Burger
From what you can see, their burgers are pretty sophisticated, and standard made. It looks clean and is well prepared for the customer to enjoy. Some of their burgers are a little bit overpriced, while others are a little bit more reasonable.
I would say that Benny Burger is probably not worth it for the wallet, but more for the experience of the ethical side of it.

Simpsons Burgers – Price $ Rating ** Longest Running Show Burger?
Today’s burger firm is Simpsons Burgers with the same name as the longest-running tv-show located at 143 Russel Street in the inner city of Melbourne. The burgers at Simpsons Burgers are mostly standard burgers with a twist. They are cooked on flamed grills!
Not only do the burgers at Simpsons Burgers sound good by looking at the menu, they are also very affordable compared to others and they even look very tasty! One thing to also notice from their menu is that they use a lot of different ingredients in just one hamburger and the price is still very good.
Simpsons Burgers also serve their own chips with their burgers for the people who are extra hungry. They even have more than 10 different types of chips that you can choose between!
Pictures sourced from: Simpson’s Burgers
This is a burger place that I would recommend a visit. No wonder why they have 4.6/5 in ratings! The burgers look fantastically good, they are very affordable from 7-11 Australian Dollars, and you get a lot for your purchase. Simpsons Burgers is probably one of the cheapest burger places out there where the burgers are still top quality.

8 Bit Burgers– Price $$ - Rating *** The Retro Burgers
8Bit, a nostalgic word for most people who experienced the 1970s-2000s. Most people who grew up with 8Bit would think of games and graphics from their childhood or their early adult life, but in this matter, it is about a burger company, 8Bit Burgers.
8Bit is originally only located in Melbourne, but recently they’ve also expanded to Sydney.
For those who haven’t tried 8Bit burgers before, they got a sales promotion where you can get your first burger for free. That’s right! A free burger at 8Bit. All you have to do is to download the app Liven and use the promocode 8BITBURG to get a free 8BIT WITH CHEESE. This is really good advertising for their burgers and to make new customers! This was they’ll give everyone the chance to taste their burgers and since they are still expanding, this would mean that they are doing pretty well.
Not only do you get a burger for free, but the prices aren’t crazy either. They got pretty decent burgers for an OK price with friendly staff if you can’t figure out how to redeem the free burger.
Pictures sourced from: eat8bit
This is a place where you should probably try out and if you don’t want to spend your own money on burgers, you can always get one for free at 8Bit Burgers!
