While I agree that Ted giving Nicole flowers is not nearly enough to repair the damage he dealt, I also want to point out that the show CHOSE to focus on Ted/Eva and backburn Nicole to sitting on her couch and promoting cleaning products. Nicole did not get any equal screentime on her feelings from the affair, all because we had to put up with two of the three MVJ pets. It'd be one thing if Nicole and Ted had EQUAL time and their thought processes were fleshed out, but they're not. The falling action of this whole story has been objectively awful.

Oh boy now we got Brook trying to out the origins of Rocco's birth out of petty spite?! Did I call it or DID I CALL IT?!

1) How Maxie did NOT grab Lulu and pop her head like a zit, I will never understand. She's a better person than me, and has continued to be the character who's had the best glow-up in all these writing changes. You go girl!

2) Lulu constantly proves why exactly she should've succumbed to her liver issue. Maxie barely made it about Brook Lynn: she brought up the victim here in Gio. Rather than actually apologizing for effectively blowing up his life, Lulu deflects and blames the other people whose lives she blew up because she doesn't want to breathe in the scent of her own shit. All her claims about "understanding" how Brook felt all those years ago is very obviously bullshit, because she wouldn't have done any of what she did in this whole story. For her, it truly was about getting back at Brook. It truly was about subplanting Brook to get in Dante's good graces. And then when Dante yelled at her, she pouted and crossed her arms and stomped her feet like a fucking child and doubled down on all her nosy arrogance. I said for awhile that this story would turn around and try and insist that Brook is the ne'er-do-well because God forbid that a Spencer be the objective villain.

Your version of Peter August is running around and talking to randos about her broken record behavior, and your version of Esme Prince is just...existing there while everyone magically forgives her.

Your opening storyline had its development and climax happen OFF-SCREEN and you're coasting on word-of-mouth from biased parties to enforce a narrative that doesn't stick.

You backburned a number of characters (Chelsea, Naomi, Nicole *the most egregious one* and now technically Anita) and decided to repeat the same conversations between people multiple times (Hi Martin/Smitty fights, hi Dani whining over Bill/Hayley, hi LESLIE-).

You know what those items have in common? It indicates either a lack of a plan or a POOR plan. It indicates that you are indeed flying blind and dropping the ball. Yeah, we don't like where you're going, but telling us that "at least we're going somewhere" helps no one. It's not reassuring or proof of control, it's dismissive and defensive. Congrats, you pulled a "GH Writers" move, only they have the decency to be passive-aggressive and continue writing the story instead of tweeting about it.

Two things can be true:

1 - Drew Cain has mutated into a rancid predatory and deadbeat scum of the earth, a far cry from the late Billy Miller's portrayal and even when Cameron Mathison initially came on as a captive of Victor's in Crete, motivated to reunite with Scout.

2 - I am very much tired of hearing every character complain about how much of a manipulative dickhead he is. I am actively disinterested in their pearl-clutching.

Nina whines and then turns around and enables Drillow because she is oh-so frightened of losing her daughter again.

The Bensons AND the Quartermaines whine and then metaphorically club Willow in the head because she cheated on their Specialist Goodest Boy: Michael. They shit-talk Drew in private and feel so hard-done-by over his behavior, and any chance they get to rescue the victim, they spit venom at her instead.

And it's not like all these people are powerless. They have far more money and power than Drew does to split this couple up and "rehabilitate" Willow's damaged psyche, but they care more about their personal comfort and reassurance (Nina) and their adjacent ego, integrity, and pride (Bensons/Qs) to actively do anything about it. If you fuckheads are going to continue to complain about Drew, maybe you can bother to retaliate and knock his teeth in instead of sitting on your asses bitching and moaning. Just an idea. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Weekly Preview Thoughts:

1) Sidwell Crosby just guaranteed that Sonny is now going to change his mind and NOT leave the mob. So...thanks for that...asshole...

2) I hope Brook Lynn beats the ever-loving shit out of that nosy, annoying, heartless harpy. That slap was LONG overdue.

3) I do not need Sasha going through any further agony if the theory of Willow kidnapping Daisy is somehow true.

4) Honestly catatonic or not, Willow would likely still agree to marry Drew because that's how deep she's in with him, dickmatized or traumatized. She is a lost cause and the only direction for her to go is digging her feet in and crashing out. WITH THAT SAID, unlike Nelle, who owned being a psychopath, Willow will still act like her shit don't stink and further plague us with the self-righteousness she developed in her marriage to Michael. Because for all the whinging about her being Nina's blood daughter and inheriting those lunatic genes, she STILL was in a cult a la the Bensons and still has those sanctimonious behaviors.
