There is a big difference from what Max thinks and what she says. Or well there is in the first episode then she slowly says what she means. Max might have anxiety around people but she isn’t as… idk, naive, as the fandom likes to paint her as. Like yeah part of her character arc is learning to be more self confident but she’s always had those emotions.
