I like to believe that the only reason Meis looks slightly taller then Gueira is because of his boots. The cowboy boots give him extra 3 or so inches, but when he takes them off he’s the roughly the same height as Gueira. Bonus, it caught Gueira off guard the first time he saw Meis without platform shoes

- Meis is wasian, his father is white (American) and his mother is Asian (Japanese)

- Lio and Galo are both just Asian (I think it was confirmed Galo was confirmed Asian but someone double check)

- Gueira is Hispanic American, I don’t know this man just screams Hispanic (we love Florida man)

- Lio and Galo definitely date post movie

- At first Meis and Gueira weren’t big fans of Galo, but they saw how happy he made Lio so they eased up with him.

- Mad burnish was basically forced to work at burning rescue post movie, Galo really wanted them to join and they couldn’t resist idiot charm.

- Meis and Aina are best friends post movie, like they do each other’s nails and hair while complaining and talking shit about anyone they don’t like.

- Gueira as a kid found a random alligator in a lake and started feeding it everyday and called it his pet, it ended when his mother found out about her kinda stupid son was feeding a wild animal.

- When Lio met Meis and Gueira for the first time, he started picking up some of their unhinged-ness but he refuses to acknowledge it

- Meis is hella smart academic and strategy wise, but he is not exactly socially smart so he gets confused by certain social norms or social cues in general

- Gueira is street smart, what else can I say?

- Galo is affectionate with everyone he likes (especially Lio)

- Meis takes the longest out of the three burnish to get ready. He may be a criminal (then a part of burning rescue) but he’d rather be caught dead than “ugly”

- Gueira and Lio grew up in low income families while Meis was raised in a upper class family (they lived in the ranch but also owned a few properties in the city) that was unfortunately very strict and controlling, so when they became fugitives, Gueira and Lio were used to slumming it and it took Meis a bit to get used to everything

- Galo makes sure all three burnish take care of themselves as he knows they got used to only living for their cause

- (Trust Meis and Gueira are together) They can decently flirt so they like seeing who can out flirt the other. Also they share a brain cell when they’re together but Meis usually has it

- Galo, Lio, Gueira, and Meis like to play animal crossing

Random Promare thoughts

What do you guys think is up with Meis’s covered eye? Cause it seems like every time his hair moves, his bangs remain covering his face. Not to mention he’s like the only other character aside from ignis I believe to have a covered up or hidden face features, it could be a past scar that Meis is ashamed of or maybe they felt lazy animating his other eye because he’s not really important 😭 anyway my headcanon is that it’s a scar from a freeze bullet that happened while he first became burnish and wasn’t too experienced in using flames

Took a moment to answer this, sorry! I am of course.. at work again lol.

☾ - sleep headcanon

I kinda talked about this headcanon for Lio once before. Its a lil dark? So excuse me for that. And it does involve Galo a bit.

Lio always had a hard time sleeping since he loved on the run. He must always have his back against a wall/someone he trusts (Gueira or Meis) due to some bad but justified paranoia of being attacked or grabbed.

After the movies events his sleep issues get extremely worse.

Falling asleep without his Promare makes inside his head very silent that it unnerves him. The Promare were always talking to him and now it's just dead silence or his frantic thoughts. Sleeping with music or tv on makes him feel he can't hear any possible attacks so that doesn't help much. What eventually does help him is when he finds out Galo talking to him puts him so at ease that Lio just falls right asleep. It's still not super easy cause Galo can talk non stop sometimes but if Galo is exhausted or upset they're not in the mood to ramble.

Besides falling asleep being difficult, Lio can get triggered waking up. His brain bolts him back into the Parnassus engine and waking up from almost dying and the adrenaline in his body becomes super active thinking he needs to save lives and save Galo and etc. So waking up in the morning Galo has to not be there, if Lio sees Galo's face in enhances his trigger cause it mimics the event too much.

P much sleeping is a struggle for poor Lio. ;-;

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

Okay I'll do a fun one for these two.

Meis, predictably, has their music as a hobby. They love string instruments of all kind and can sing really well. They tend to write poems or songs throughout their day to day as random inspiration hits.

Meis also has a (I guess a quirk) of tapping or humming to the tune of anything nearby. They're the kinda person to make music using only a couch pillow pats and the squeak of their boots.

Gueira is an 'Ill try anything once' kinda guy for hobbies... Or anything really. >.> He isn't the best with any of it but just has fun doing something with his hands.

Gueira is a great story teller though. Him and Meis entertained the other Burnish folk around a campfire with music and a story. Gueira can come up with any kind of story on the spot.

Okay someone might have already thought of this but I wanna share it still

Since many theories (or canon I don’t know) say that the horns on each of the burnish mechs represent the order of power, so to my understanding Meis is the weakest out of the three, followed by Gueira, and of course Lio being the strongest. The way I interpret this is that Lio became burnish way before Gueira and Meis hence why his burnish abilities are stronger. Since Gueira is potentially stronger then Meis then that could mean that he definitely turned burnish and Meis followed after.

This could also explain why during the prison break scene Meis uses a gun instead of his burnish flames, because in comparison to the other two, he isn’t as strong as Gueira and Lio but he’s still one of the strongest burnish

I can’t remember if I’m just crazy or what but apparently there’s like two deleted Promare scenes? Or scrapped can’t remember 😭

One being Galo and Gueira meeting in prison, which would be funny to see especially if it was during the events of the movie instead of the most likely scenario of it being pre-movie. This is where the theory that Meis and Gueira met in prison came from I think

The second being Meis and Gueira fighting freeze force people during the jail break scene, Meis was using the freeze gun (yeehaw cowboy) and Gueira using his flames. I don’t know if this one’s true I can’t remember where I found that out 😭😭😭

Meis has always taken pride in his hair ever since he was young, but during his time as burnish, he started taking less care of his hair outside the bare minimum. Once they lose their burnish abilities and go back to an attempted normal life, the bathroom is FILLED with hair product because Meis likes keeping his hair fabulous and make up for the damage caused by his Mad Burnish days
