It has been a while ...

There are a couple of firsts involved regarding this pic:

The first time I did a detailed background on my own, using references, and

When I drew a male character without a shirt on, full frontal.

So the story goes when after an intense training session with his peers, Guy decides to head on out into a nearby lake, in which he claimed his own, to cool off and possibly meditate. Little does he know, as he looked left, there could be someone watching him...perhaps one of his female admirers, or an unknown enemy...? Who knows ? 😄

I was aiming to finish this during my vacation, but I had to do much of the housework, while the weather was humid as fuck! 😖

Believe it or not, I used to have a Rose roleplay blog, albeit a side blog. The main account that it was attached to has long been deleted, but I saved the information I had on it.

Hey I have a question, what do you think about Guy from final fight streetwise? 🤔

The idea that he has a tattoo...*chef's kiss", but given the character designs at the time, I feel the developers should do better. I prefer his Alpha design though.

How do you feel when a character's undergarments get exposed (in a nonsexual way)? I can see that Maki wears what look like panties in a color similar to her outfit, especially when she fights. And in one of Cody's alternate outfits, he has the top part of his underpants showing! (They look to be blue boxers with cow designs.)

Mostly neutral. Sakura, for example, would wear a pair of red bloomers (short-shorts) underneath her skirt, and Karin has worn underneath what appears to be biker shorts. As for Guy's, it is unknown being that his outfit covers most of his body (save for those arms 💜), but if one could imagine, he would most likely wear a fundoshi underneath.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but have you noticed that Cody often wears blue, while Guy often wears red? (I'm referring to their default outfits in their playable appearances, not counting any alternate downloadable outfits.) It provides such a good visual contrast between the two.

I have noticed for the longest. The color scheme reminds me of the Double Dragon characters Billy and Jimmy Lee, as I read in the Street Fighter's Wiki page.

You ever had any nicknames for Guy, or any of your other favorite Street Fighter characters? My nicknames for Cody are "walking blue candy cane" (referring to his blue and white striped prison jumpsuit) and "bombshell blond". My nickname for Guy is "my favorite sneaker ninja", and my nickname for Dudley is "fancy pants".

My nickname(s) for Guy....? Let's see...I do call him my "soft spot", "Slim" (due to his build) or "Dahhlin'; For Juri, one of my favorite female Street Fighters next to Chun-Li (Lightning Legs) and Rose (Rosie Rose), I nickname her Slinky 😄

How do you feel about Maki Genryusai as a character? I would personally find her intimidating if I met her. That said, I think she deserves more playable appearances, with her story being expanded on and gaining an English-language voice actor.

I have played her in Capcom vs SNK 2 and Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX before, she seems like a pretty decent character. And yeah, I do agree that she should at least deserve more appearances within the Street Fighter universe, like what she is doing in the current timeline.

Out of all the theme music Guy has had, do you have a favorite? I've enjoyed all the official tracks, so far, and I can't pick just one.

The iconic "Slums" theme, heard on his Alpha debut, especially the arranged (console) version. "No more Swingin'" from Alpha 3 is alright but don't care for it too much.

It's like low-key the developers had me in mind at the first draw I got two copies...

Well, I'm gonna get him up to the highest tier possible!! It's about time the Bushinryu Grandmaster gets another new unit! 💋 I don't mind the ladies getting new units (Chun-Li, Rose, et al.) though, but I tire of seeing some of the male characters get new variations of themselves (save for Cody, Guile, Abel, Vega and Yang's, their variations are cool, and Fei-Long and Yun are LONG overdue for new variations).

Let's hope the developers make another Guy variant soon, possibly a summer one in future updates...

So, which Street Fighter games have you personally played?

I've played the original SF2 (and The New Challengers) and the Alpha trilogy; I'm also fond of Ultra SF4 and SF5 Champion edition. I currently have its 6th installment but didn't get too much into it due to work and whatnot...

Chills ran through my spine yesterday when the notification on my phone announced that Guy has another new unit!

Yes, that is the Bushinryu Grandmaster himself....and he looks so fucking good!!! I mean I have his Action/Yakuza unit, but I'm willing to pick this one up once the respective event starts up 💜💜

Hopefully the Crunchyroll games developers will add/confirm Guy's summertime variation; they did that with Cody and Poison (Elena and Ibuki as well in their earliest events), so why the hell not make his version official??

I'll post more screenshots of Banquet Guy once the event begins!

So I found this app called Gacha Life 2, and ended up making Guy in a variation of my Bushinryu Casual outfit (with jacket)...

How do you feel about Guy or any other male Street Fighter wearing feminine stuff, like skirts or dresses? Back in the early 2010s, I once drew fan art of Cody and Guy dressed like Anna and Elsa from Frozen and Dudley dressed in a ball gown. I had deleted the artworks from the account I posted them on, but I'm thinking of revisiting the ideas.

I've seen something like that in places like DeviantArt or even the former bird site; it's not really my thing but I'm more into a Rule 63 type, where there is a female version of a male character (and vice versa).
